Yummy food! I have been to Ethiopian restaurants all over the USA and Europe, and this is among the best! The beef sambusas were especially delicious. I loved the drink too which I have never had anywhere else, the Abyssinia Comfort Smoothie.....yummmmmy! I would definitely come back for more sambusas and smoothies!

The food there was amazing and delicious. The staff was also very kind, we for got a bag and one of the staff ran out and chased us down the street to return it to us. It was also my first time eating there and I loved it.

The service was kind and efficient. They accommodated our large group and helped us navigate the menu. The injera was delicious and soft, and both the vegetarian and meat portions were excellent.

If you're tired of the same ol' everyday options look no further than Abyssinian for an authentic Ethiopian dinner experience. The place is small but welcoming. The owner is very friendly and helpful with the menu. Take him up on the combo sampler experience if you're uncertain what to get. Don't worry too much searching for flavor with the rolled injera bread. It's meant to be bland to take up the flavor of the food. It's used as a vessel. Also don't miss out on the injera that the food is piled on, there's a ton of flavor under there!! The meaty sauces were so flavorful along with the colored greens, potatoes and beans. Don't skip out on the sambusa appetizers and we loved the lamb tibs too!So good . We also really enjoyed the Ethiopian tea. I wish I had taken more pictures but we were too busy enjoying the experience. Do yourself a favor and experience something new, you won't regret it!

Seemed like a ean down place. The decor looked like it was way out of date. The food was not very tasty. The dread was cold. Should of been warm. Sauces did not taste well. I felt sick later after eating there that night. Would not go back.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options rich, flavorful, and filling! Menu clearly labeled for vegetarians, however for vegans I would likely have a few questions such as the milk option used for the smoothies. (Abyssinian Comfort smoothie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for those who consume honey!)

Delicious family style place. We got a sampler platter and both the meat eaters and the vegetarians were happy. The tea was delicious too!

Delicious combos, vegetarian is so flavor filled and big enough to share. Apologies for not knowing the names of the dishes and I truly believe you just trust the experience and enjoy it. Friendly staff. Extra casual clean ambiance, truly hoped my dishes would have come out in the serving tray... but maybe next time. Very Good!

I had an enjoyable lunch here today. It is within walking distance of the Kentucky International Convention Center. The vegetable platter is a nice vegan option. The coffee is roasted and ground by the owners and was wonderful. The service was courteous and quick.Vegetarian options: a vegetable platter and lentil sambusas are currently on the menu
