Got two different chocolate birthday cake options- a more traditional "cake" and something more akin to a cookie cake (?)Both of these items tasted as if they had been made several days ago. The best word I can think of is dusty tasting. The biggest issue is we paid full price. This place is already very expensive (I understand that the special ingredients have a high cost), but it is largely unfair to a customer to charge a high price for an old product. Based on other reviews, this is not a new problem.

They didn't stick to what they promised a mutual friend on their wedding day. They didn't decorate the cake and didn't give my friend the flavor requested. They also delivered the cake late and wouldn't refund my friend half her money back. Then to top it off blocked them. Highly do not recommend!

We tried the chocolate covered donuts and I also bought a strawberry chocolate cupcake. It was all very delicious and perfectly moist. We were very impressed by the donuts. I loved the strawberry jam inside the cupcake. If we lived in louisville we would probably spend most of our money here, lol. I hope we can stop by again next time we are in town to try more stuff. — Also, the staff was very nice! Thank you all for making delicious vegan/allergen free desserts:))

I try to stop in every time we are in town visiting family for my sweet treat fix! We stopped in this past weekend and I got a strawberry pop tart that was spot on for flavor! And then I got a pack of garlic bombs…. I just ate one and OH MY GOSH can you say garlic heaven! My only regret is not buying more of these to stash away until my next visit.

Celiac here. It was so nice to see my daughter (peanut allergy) enter a bakery and order whatever she wanted without worry. As a family of four, we could actually share treats (this rarely happens!) since my husband and I are GF. We got the soft pretzels, carrot cake, Easter sugar cookie, chocolate bunnies, coffee cake, cinnamon sugar donut, mint brownie, chocolate sun butter bar, and rolls - then loaded back up to continue our road trip. I only eat at dedicated GF establishments while traveling and this place is by far the best GF bakery I have ever found. So fresh & wonderful. Thank you so very much Annie Mae and staff!!!

As a gluten-free person I expected the bakery to be average (as so many are), but decided to risk it anyway. The dinner rolls and sandwich chocolate chip cookie were so good that after I took a bite in the parking lot I went back in to buy more.Worth the Uber from Louisville.

This Bakery is free of all the common allergens. As a gluten-free person I've had a lot of bad baked goods. I had very low expectations. I was wrong! We've had the bread and the chocolate chip sandwich cookie. They were both incredible. Worth the few minutes to drive/Uber to snack here!

Bring gluten free for over a decade I have noticed people with allergies are just desperate to have a quick treat. This place sadly is hit or miss. I understand gf is expensive but keeping old products at full price is wrong. Not to mention anything chocolate just taste horrid.Other things can be okay. But the staff is also hit or miss.Plus during Covid their whole concept didn’t seem to work anymore. And frankly wasn’t worth the hassle. They are trying to do for too many allergies with everything. And sadly it show. Rather than having one dish without all the allergies. Also very over the top sweet to make up for it.

We've been visiting Annie's since our first kiddo was diagnosed with Celiac almost 10 years ago. At that time Annie's was the only spot in the city where we could visit for safe treats for her. With a disease that can be so isolating, this space was welcoming and the comfort of knowing she could choose anything from the case without worrying about getting sick was incredible for all of us. We now have two celiac kiddos and still visit Annie's on a regular basis. My favorites are the pretzels (get the jalapeño ranch!!!) and the oatmeal cream pies. My daughter's favorite is the Chewy Louie! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because of the inconsistent hours. I completely understand the reasons of changing hours (especially in the time of a pandemic). But there have been many times where I needed to grab a dessert for a last minute dinner or a treat for a class celebration and they aren't open. Definitely check their Facebook and Instagram pages for the hours that day before heading over.

We’re relatively new to the allergy life style. We stopped by this morning to get birthday treats for my kiddos. We got a slice of cake, cupcakes and a doughnut. They we thrilled with how delicious everything was-they’ve been missing the opportunity to get treats when we’re out. Thanks for filling this void so well!

If I could give this bakery zero stars, I would. We got an oatmeal cream pie, pumpkin spice cookie and a bag of dinner rolls and threw everything away. Everything tasted rancid and was so hard it could have broken a tooth. Not only were their bake goods atrocious they were wildly expensive, which made it even worse. I have been gluten free for 16 years and we try a gluten free bakery everywhere we go. Annie May’s Sweet Cafe is by far the worst bakery I have ever been to. I feel bad that the gluten free people in the area think this is what gluten free items have to taste like. What an absolute disappointment and sorry excuse for a business. They obviously lack the skill and knowledge in baking in general and have zero concept of what is appropriate to sell to their customers. Save yourself the time, the money and honestly, save your tastebuds the trouble too.

So glad to have found this bakery! My son has a severe egg allergy, and finding allergy-friendly baked goods became even more difficult over the past few years. Everything we've tried so far has been delicious, especially his custom 4th birthday cake. He asks to go to the bakery every Friday after school. We love Annie May's!

Annie May’s is my favorite place to get a sweet treat. Over the years, Annie May’s has provided my family with delightful birthday treats and even my wedding cake. I know that they put their heart and soul into everything they make! My personal favorites are the cinnamon rolls, chocolate filled cupcakes and candy bars. Be sure to give this lovely bakery a try! ❤️

The absolute best ❤️ I've been navigating multiple allergies since 2016 and Annie May's is the only place I have gotten consistently amazing baked goods that I can feel confident are 100% safe. My go to place for birthdays, holidays, and every day!
