Great breakfast/brunch spot! Bread and pastries baked daily. It's a small space and it's usually busy but the wait is never too long. Stop by for a coffee and pastry to go or grab a table for dine in.

Found this gem by accident. Qualifies as memorable. Pastries are second to none.

One of my favorite cafes in town. Surprisingly every single item on menu is delicious.I’ve tried poached egg and bacon flatbread, spicy mushroom and spinach flatbread, mushroom tartine and smoked salmon tartine.

A delightful, cozy bakery and cafe! I only had time to grab a couple of sweet treats to go (obviously a kouign amann couldn't be missed!), but this would be a lovely place to linger over breakfast with a loved one. Next time I'm in Louisville!

Delicious, interesting food with friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. Although the pastries were mostly gone by the time we arrived for lunch, we very much enjoyed our more substantial meals. Try the grapefruit salad or mushroom tartine.

Great service as always especially for consistently having a line from register to door. Very clean, quaint, atmosphere as usual. This was my 4th visit (with more to come God willing!) - Pecan, Maple morning bun was light, crispy on outside and fluffy inside. 5/5 - Almond, lemon, blueberry croissant was the same as above ^ 5/5 - Raspberry, cream cheese filled danish was also a 5/5

So far I believe Blue Dog to be the best bakery in the Lu. I love their morning glory muffin, it's 100x better than the one from PTY chain (PTY is overpriced and over hyped, if you like it you need blue dog in your life). The orange pistachio schnecken is also my go-to with the muffin, I have yet to try breakfast here but the offerings outside of pastry look superb, and based on the execution of the pastry, probably IS superb.Go here!

Love love love this place. There is something magical about their bread. The perfect balance of crunch crust and super soft pillowy interior. I put on some high quality butter like Kerry gold or plugra and the bread was amazing! Very well balanced and perfectly baked. If you go here, get two loaves because you might accidentally eat a loaf on the way home!

We have the good fortune of traveling to Louisville a few times a year. Blue Dog is a must-visit during our travels. This place is simply top-notch. Their koughin aman is the best I've ever had in the US. Their Sourdough is legitimately outstanding, and we always indulge in their almond croissants and pain au chocolat. Although we do our best to limit our sugar consumption, when you are presented with high-quality creations, there is no choice but to give in to temptation. Typically, I rise early on Friday morning and make the trip down to BDG&C. It is best to pick up their stuff freshly baked, and there is always the risk that they will run out. As I write this review and think about Blue Dog, I am already planning my next visit. Can't wait to go back and enjoy it.

Blue Dog is a Louisville staple. They have excellent lattes, baked goods and a small breakfast/lunch menu. You can't go wrong with anything you order.

I drive across town just to purchase fresh & unique breads from this bakery. Reasonable prices. The pastries are delicious! I’ve eaten brunch here numerous times and have always left satisfied. A little gem of a bakery in Louisville.

This is a cute place without bread in the afternoon and hence too far off my own living area. My wife found online a German bakery that will ship to us next week their fresh farmers' breadAnd thus solve a 5 year old dilemma since we moved here. Thanks. You are very kind folks.
