Went to Butchertown Grocery for Thanksgiving. Amazing experience as it almost duplicates an at home holiday meal. Everything served family style. Our table was full with turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, mac/cheese, Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, chutney. It was terrific. Service only added to the expertly prepared dishes. Thank you, Andrew and Greg for the bourbon education.

For dinner I did the steak frites with fries. Steak was juicy and tender. Dessert I tried the apple pie with ice cream. It was just as yummy as I'd hoped for it to be. We also got beignets for the group. There is something so divine about powder sugar on fried dough. It just melts in your mouth. nice

I had the best meal of my life at Butchertown! I come from an Italian family and the gnocchi was better then my grandmothers ( don't tell her I said that) the cocktail menu is great. The charcuterie board was so great I find my self daydreaming about it from time to time.

I called every bakery in the city asking for a last minute pecan praline cake. They informed me that they usually only make cupcakes but would ask the head pastry chef about a cake for my fiancé’s birthday. He absolutely loved it and the cake was beautiful. The woman i spoke to on the phone went the extra mile for me as did the chef. I will always recommend this place and I’m not buying custom baked goods from anywhere else. Picking up the cake today was a dream, everyone working was so nice. I appreciate everything that you all did for me especially last minute!

On top of this, service was spot on. We got to the restaurant early so we sat at the bar until they opened the Lola Room. Let me say that this room is absolutely adorable! It has its own bar, lounges along the room, a mini stage with a piano and some tables on the side. It's dim and intimate yet very comfortable.

I’ve only been twice to the bakery location, both when takeout was the only option, and bread and desserts I’ve had have been great. However, both times, an item that had been advertised on social media was incomplete in my order. The first was an Asian salad about six weeks ago that was missing the candies almonds and wonton strips. Today, I was excited about the tomato tart, only to get home and find that mine did not have the arugula salad or fresh tomatoes. To see something on social media (twice), and be compelled to order it because of that, only for the dish to be missing multiple components is disappointing. Because of this, if I do return, I’ll only consider getting baked goods.

Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, and there was no sense of being rushed. My gnocchi was out to the park. Not traditionally prepared as an Italian grandmother would make, but the thoughtful marriage of oyster mushrooms and potato gnocchi was divine. The old-fashioneds were crisp and bright, and while I only got to peek inside the speakeasy upstairs, I wold return in a heartbeat to burrow into that even darker warren of rooms.

WOW!!! Went here for brunch on Valentine's Day with my husband! The food was close to perfection! Probably the best food we've had in Louisville, and we are big foodies! Everything was so fresh, beautifully plated, and tasted so good! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant as well! Great service too!

Wow, this place is a gem. The first thing I noticed was how polished and knowledgeable the server was. This guy was a true professional. That set the tone which really carried on through the evening. Fantastic wine, well-executed and delicious entrees, all the way to the irresistible desserts. I loved the pork belly, Atlantic salmon, and a big soft bourbon barrel sugar cookie. Others in my group loved the fettuccine and a special of the day which I believe was a waygu beef Wellington. Everyone left happy!
