Every aspect of this restaurant is pleasing. Try the frites with three sauce, the empanadas, and any of the delicious sandwiches and paninis.

3rd try. Fail again. Food was cold. Service was abyssal. Check was messed up. Charged credit card for $7 more than ticket. Small tables. Wobbly table and chairs. This is a definite no.

Casual elegant bistro with fabulous food and a wonderful coffee bar. We started with a cafe roma and a latte, both of which were rich and delicious. This was our first time here (it won’t be our last) and we ordered a charcuterie board and empanadas as appetizers. All were very good, but the beef empanadas were stars. We also shared an excellent chicken and rice soup that I believe added poured carrot to the broth, which added a nice extra flavor. For an entree, we split their English Fish and Chips, which used a delicious and crispy beer batter. We’ve found it hard to find this style of fried fish in Louisville, so this was an exciting find! It did not disappoint.

Stopped by for a quick bite and remembered I hadn’t been there for several years. I should keep this one closer to the top of my list! They had plenty offerings for my vegetarian daughter and I enjoyed a very substantial sandwich. The breads are AMAZING! Service and atmosphere were both enjoyable. We loved watching the train pass by… it felt almost storybook like. Looking forward to going back.

I would agree this place is an under the radar gem. A lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Every time I've visited the service has been terrific and I haven't had a bad meal yet. I would also echo those who say this place has terrific desserts. That's most definitely true. I can't get out of this place without at least having one of their delicious cookies. I'll definitely be returning sometime soon.

This place is a jewel in Clifton! Ambiance feels like a European Cafe. It's intimate, wait staff is excellent ad is the food.

The atmosphere was nice, and quaint. The waitress was very kind and attentive. My coffee was great. The food was subpar; Italian sausage on my sandwich was burnt on the edges with minimal sauce. For the price, the food better be cooked to near perfection, especially for the quantity you get as well. Overall not very impressed.. Would try again and order something different!

Café Classico is one of our favorite places to go to for a nice start to our afternoon with a wonderful cappuccino and Belgian Pomme Frittes or a light lunch or dinner. The environment is calm and comfortable. The people are polite. And service is always on point and satisfying. Try the desserts with your coffee they are always satisfying.

I absolutely love coming to this place! Updated 2023 It has changed a bit over the years but in the best ways, the floor is designed a bit differently, the counters display darker wood for the counter tops but it's still just as great of a place as it always has been! I always love visiting!

Caffe Classico, at Clifton and Frankfort avenues, is a small neighborhood restaurant with cosmopolitan vibes. We have always found it a pleasant and satisfying place for lunch. The menu is interesting, from pizza to salade niçoise to Latin American sandwiches, and offers the choice of a small or full portion. We’ve always been partial to the Saffron Asiago Risotto Cakes, and we’ve also enjoyed the Sausages Alemania, the English Fish and Chips, the Steak Frittes and the Choripan sandwich. We’ve ordered the Chicken Roulade and found it underwhelming and dry, and on a recent visit, our first for supper, we ordered the roulade again hoping for a better outcome. It was not to be: dry, despite an accompanying sauce, and surprisingly tasteless. However, that wasn’t the worst part of the experience. The management apparently feels that evening eating needs an incredibly loud live guitar accompaniment. Our table was right next to the musician, and we could not hear a word between us or with the servers. It’s a small room, and it was a big sound. So we suggest when calling to make your supper reservation asking if there is live music that night. If so, don’t go unless you like a lot of flamenco with your Flank Steak.
