My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. They staff are always friendly and the service is relatively quick. They have a good sized menu, and I especially appreciate their section dedicated to vegetarian dishes. I am a vegetarian and often resort to side dishes at restaurants due to a lack of options-however, at Clay Oven there is nearly an entire page dedicated to diverse and delicious dishes.The portions are nice (we often have leftovers) and the price is reasonable for two people. The atmosphere is great for a nice night out or if you’re just looking for a good meal.We go to Clay Oven every chance we get, and I highly recommend the people in/around Middletown give it a try if Indian food interests you!

Loved everything about this restaurant! The vibes were really nice, and the tables were beautifully set. Our waiter was kind and checked in on us regularly. Our food was amazing! I particularly loved the rosemary naan, which was as beautiful as it was tasty, and the mango lassi. I look forward to returning here in the future to try more food!

The clay oven is tucked back behind the White Castle in Shelbyville road. Curry chicken is delicious rosemary and the garlic naan enhance the main entrees. Great place for awesome Indian dishes.Vegetarian options: And gluten free options as well.
Clay Oven is 10/10 every time! I love living so close to them! The rosemary naan and matar paneer are my go to! Clay Oven is a must try!

I'm batting 1.000 today. After being disappointed at another former favorite Indian place I went to the steady back up Clay Oven. I should have know that the place being empty at noon was a sign but I went in. Buffet is gone. Staff is rude and we're smoking in the restaurant. Come on Louisville, can't we have a decent Indian Buffet? Smaller towns do.

The tall Hyderabad guy who was in the front he treated us very well and Friendly satisfying experience.I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant and try their authentic Indian food

The first thing I will say is I miss the lunch buffet! I have eaten here for years, and the food is always a solid 4/5. The lamb vindaloo is so very good and the Naan is on point!

I've always wanted to eat here and finally checked it out for lunch! It's a great atmosphere with booths and table tops. The tables all have white table cloths and feel very clean. There are TVs but the volume isn't too high. Your meal comes to you on a little cart and is served on the most beautiful dishes! And what makes it even better is the food is AMAZING! I ordered the Dal Tadka medium heat (vegan) and it was perfect! Loads of flavor on top of each other and just enough kick - and it paired wonderfully with the rice provided! I also could not leave without trying the garlic naan - and I suggest you don't either! I would eat that garlic naan every day if I could! The service was also nice! A lovely spot for lunch or dinner!
