We visited and wanted a taste of nigerian food. The food was a wash out. Presentation is zero. The fish was tasteless, it had too much of Curry.

I love this type of food. Big on flavor and in portions this is the place to go to when you're hungry. Delivery or pick up only at this time. A sign at the door indicated. Plenty of parking as it's tucked a bit in the back of a strip mall. Staff was friendly. What more can you ask for?

I ordered jollof rice, asaro, ewa, eforiro and dodo, it was a bad experience. The food and the packaging was very poor.I visited Louisville for 6 days and I wanted to have Nigerian home food taste...... My wife couldn't even eat any of the food. Please do better, represent Nigeria well.

Very foolish rude woman. Horrible customer service. Talking about someone in the toilet while I'm trying to order. Taking everybody's else's order while I'm trying to order.Hung up on me when I mentioned to her. I will never trust food here. Will never ever order from here. Goodluck to you if you do.

Though I’m not a Nigerian, but as a Liberian with Nigerians family and friends, this is definitely not Nigerian cuisine. I wasted $40.00 on my order of enguzi, plaintain, and fish. What a disappointment for me

The isn't Nigerian. Load of tomatoe paste. The vegetables used was previously dried and not right for egusi or efo riro. Jollof rice full of tomatoes paste will no trace of onions or other ingredients. Nigerians never use yam porridge as side for jollof rice. Plus the porridge tasted like sweet potatoes was used not yam ?. Meat size is funny to as the meat ( chicken and beef) just like suya sizes. The sauce by itself is tomato pasta, I mean tin tomatoes o.Please ? don't call this a Nigerian cuisine. I am sure previous reviews aren't Nigerians. Funmi Cafe. I don't want to believe a Nigerian made what I orderd yesterday.

My daughter had been wanting to try African food for a long time so we chose this place. Was kind of disappointed that it didn't offer sit down dining because we live an hr away and wanted to eat the food fresh and hot. We ordered Sambusa which ended up being my favorite thing, Egusi with chicken and fufu and a side of jollof rice. Everything was delicious but I felt the jollof rice was a little bland, I expected more flavor. I would recommend this place and we will be back.

This place was running takeout only when I tried them (which was fairly uncommon compared to other restaurants at that time). Ordering online was fairly easy. The location is a bit receded from the main shopping center; GPS doesn't seem to quite get it right. They have a nice vegetarian menu; their selections rotate daily but there are always multiple vegan items, some based on tofu, others with things like lentils and mushrooms. My sambusas gave off a mouthwatering aroma, and while I was considering saving them to eat later, I had one immediately. These were quite small for the price, but I will say they had a bunch of greens and spices and were very tasty. My entree was a dish of sauteed mushrooms and greens with two sides, for which I got jollof rice and beans. All of this was dynamic and full of flavor. Certainly, this restaurant does bring something worthwhile to the local scene.

It’s giving lack! After driving 6 hours from Atlanta (where they cook better food) I stopped to get some home-cooked African food. What a disappointment to the tenth power. As I was handed the plate of food I instantly knew that the quantity was not worth almost 30 bucks. The one thing Africans will do when it comes to jollof rice, is to pack your plate full of jollof rice in exchange of not having to give much meat- preferably goat meat.-They gave us four pieces of beef stewed meat (not even goat lol smh) four pieces of plantain like they were doing us a favor.-The rice had zero seasoning, the meat had zero seasoning, and the side of efo riro was a disgrace. It was like they took collard greens in mixed in a pot of boiling canned tomatoe purée with a dash of something. I had to laugh writing this because it was a complete joke and disgrace. I tell you all items tasted like they took chef Boyardee sauce and poured it in. I am trying to figure out who sell food like that? They do. Anyone that says this place is it, is lacking taste in their taste buds. Never again. ?

Have not even eaten there yet and will definitely not recommend this place. I called to place an order & the person on the phone was rude & dismissive. Apart from their attitude, they said it will take 40 mins for my order to be ready. Now mind you, I am Nigerian so I know how these restaurants work. You cannot make Nigerian food from scratch for every order. So 40 mins to wait for food in the evening is absolutely ridiculous. Oh well, maybe one day I will actually get to try the food. There are no Nigerian restaurants in Ky, oh or Indy. I was so excited to find this & the disappointment really hurt

This is coming from a true foodie with Nigerian friends the food was delicious. I ordered egusi stew with beef and cassava fufu and chicken with okra stew and yam fufu. My only complaint was the yam fufu wasn’t good it was too grainy but the cassava fufu was perfect just how I like it. So if you want the consistency of mashed potatoes definitely order cassava. I would return i’m glad I found this place.

ordered the vegan egusi Stew with mushrooms & pounded yam (instead of fufu) a while back and it was a wonderful experience. the food smelled like a combination of Thanksgiving, Christmas and warmed goodness. the flavor was unexplainable but satisfactory. i will definitely be back again when i have some extra cash and tell friends!

I Got the egusi with assorted meat and fish with pounded Yam. And my friend got jollof rice with chicken and dodo. We both enjoyed our food. It was a lot for me to finish in one seating so I will be finish mine tomorrow. I highly recommend.
