We've done a ton of distillery tours, probably at least 30, almost always the same, this one, however, managed to add quite a bit of new information and sights. Especially nice is that they have their own in-house coopers, which I've not seen anywhere else. Leanne did a fantastic job! Highly personable, knowledgeable and recommended.

We had an awful experience. We showed up two minutes late and were denied service and weren't given a refund. And to make matters worse, the staff was extremely rude. I would NOT recommend this place.

Well, this is a bit of a delayed review. We stopped here 3 years ago on our start down our own Bourbon Trail into the great world on bourbon. We feel in love with Old Forrester. We did love this facility. So cool this place! Here is what it started. We just had this tasting at home. Loved it! (Favorite is 1920. The barrel pick was just as good!)

Awesome place to visit .it's at the top of my list for the distillery's .. Good gifts BUT:: They didn't put out anything special the day we visited ..so was disappointed...and we were there early to get in line

Neat atmosphere, friendly bartenders. Stoped in with my husband to try a flight and it was a nice experience.

We stopped at Old Forester for a distillery tour, but then realized we really didn't have the time. So we went into George's where they offer a tasting of three. Honestly I don't care for bourbon, so my friends had to pick up my slack. But I loved the bourbon popcorn they gave us between rounds so much that we ended up buying some from the gift shop.

Cocktails and Old Forester selection on point. Bartender was likewise Louisville-informative and ushered out a number of stellar recommendations for my stay.

The Old Forester Distillery was great - clean, sleek, and beautiful! I wanted to give a shout out to the bar in it though because they were fantastic! We got a tasting and already love their bourbon as it is, the 1920 is a go to sipping whiskey, so it was nice tasting some of their other bourbons too. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

We're frequent visitors to Louisville and have been slowly working our way through the Bourbon Tour. On our most recent visit, we visited the new downtown location for Old Forester. Interesting tidbit - Old Forester occupied this particular site in downtown Louisville (as offices - not as a distillery) until Prohibition. They were one of only 6 distilleries that had a license to continue operating during Prohibition -- selling medicinal whiskey. Then, in 2017 (or 18), they came back to this site and build a small distillery. They operate an actual small distillery on-site and actually produce bourbon on-site. The tour takes about an hour and our tour guide was very good. He had a good knowledge of the company, it's history and the production of bourbon. And -- as with most distillery tours, the tour ends in the tasting room where you get to sample 3 different types of Old Forester bourbon. The tour was excellent and well worth the time.

A great way to connect with locals and local business in Louisville. This was a very interesting tour, was very affordable and ended with a delicious chocolate and a tasting of several of old Forrester's whiskey. I am not a liquor drinker, but I found this very enjoyable and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Took a tour today with Barb. The tour was very cool and Barb was so much fun! Nice combination of history and science. Got to see every part of the process from the mash, to barrel making, to bottling. Tour ends with a tasting of 3 whiskeys and an amazing chocolate caramel marshmallows. Definitely worth the $18 fee.

This tour is perfection! The facility is beautiful. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and and ultimately really fun! We saw the process from fermentation, to distilling, to testing, to barrel production and barreling of the product, aging, bottling, and finally tasting. It was a really memorable experience and I can't wait to do it again!
