Wonder service, believe our waiters name was Brian. Food was great. Best chicken livers I've ever had, cooked perfect. Building a tad outdated, but they are moving to a different location soon

Love everything about Goose Creek Diner, their food is home cooked perfection. Their Sunday brunch with made to order specialties including omelets and crepes is one of the best and most reasonable in Louisville.

I've heard of this place for years, so we stopped in. It's a nice little diner, even had seats at the counter. Started with cornbread, which was smaller than usual, but was just as sweet. The wife had catfish with white beans and ham, and she enjoyed it. I had the chicken tenders with fried green tomatoes. Pretty good stuff. The wait staff was very good to us, too.

This place was just crazy tonight on Valentine's day! But it was carry out that was the most nuts.I sat at the counter so I wouldn't take a table from any love birds.Brian busted butt to take care of the counter diners and manage the carry out orders waiting for pickup. He did a great job and even apologized to us for not being able to spend more time and chat. The food was reasonably priced and was all American comfort foods with a special take on them.I recommend the chicken fried steak. I never had it served like that before and I will not ruin it for you.

The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The servers are very friendly and outgoing, but also very attentive to the table needs. Also, sometimes they have a balloon artist. I mean, it doesn't get much better than that. Definitely recommend!

I had a Goose creek Hot brown. It was awesome. The service was fast the food was hit. I also stuck around long enough to check other people's meals. Everything I saw looked really good. Wish hadn't been alone. Would be nice to try a little of everything. Mind you, this is only the lunch serving. Dinner is bigger.

Great food and service. Everything was delicious and it was made quickly. Country fried steak definitely recommended. Can't wait to return.

The Fat Man and his fiancé headed down to Louisville to buy a new ride. After completing the purchase we headed over the Goose Creek Diner for a bit to eat. Goose Creek is a colorful diner offering traditional American comfort food, including Sunday brunch. They brought out Cornbread to start it tasted similar to a Jiffy type cornbread. It was sweet and cake like. Moist but also a little dense, not bad at all. My fiancé ordered the Pork Chop Dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans and white gravy as her sides. The waitress recommended adding lemon juice to the breaded chop. Her pork chop was juicy and cooked perfectly. The Panko breading was crunchy and cooked to a golden brown, the squeeze of lemon kicked up the flavor. The gravy is creamy with a slight pepper kick, it was thick but a little salty, while the green beans are tender and fresh they could use a touch of salt. The mashed potatoes are fresh and fluffy. The seasoning was spot on. I had the Goose Creek Hot Brown with Chicken Noodle soup. The bread is toasted and not soggy, the mornay sauce is creamy and cheesy with a bite. It is not a heavy sauce. The turkey is juicy seasoned well, and they give you a good amount. The bacon is a good crispy with a little chew. They topped the hot brown with shredded Parmesan and some chives for a touch of green I wish the tomatoes were sliced thicker cut and left uncooked. The soup is broth based but has a creaminess to it. The noodle as tender and slightly sweet, which I am not a huge fan of. The veggies and chicken come in big chunks and are very tender. The soup is seasoned properly and just has a delicate velvety texture. I am not a huge chicken noodle person, but this was a pretty good soup. Goose Creek offers a good-sized menu with several pasta, seafood and signature dishes as well loads of sandwiches, soups and salads. The wait staff was very friendly. The Fat Man says that Goose Creek Diner is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

Low-key local spot where the Sunday brunch buffet is a hidden gem. Great biscuits and gravy, but the egg bar is the star of the show. Get pancakes, French toast, crepes, eggs Benedict, or a "make your own" omelette made to order, all included in the buffet price. Eggs Benedict were very good, but the strawberry and cream cheese crepes were out of this world! The chef even made our toddler a Mickey Mouse-shaped pancake, which she loved. Will absolutely be back again!Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating of our toddler. Provided a high chair and offer plain and chocolate milk, as well as apple juice as drink choices.

We went here based on reviews fitting our criteria of what we are looking for in a restaurant and we’re thoroughly pleased! Great food, excellent friendly service, and very reasonable prices. Plus we like unique (non franchise) Mom and Pop hole in the wall type places! Our waitress, Theresa was a very nice lady who made us feel like we were her personal guest eating in her kitchen! Even as first time customers we felt right at home and the food was excellent. Had Hot Brown, Fried Chicken Livers that my wife said were best she ever had. And coconut pie for dessert! A bit hard to locate. The sign in old photos here is no longer there! I have posted photo of current sign. Don’t judge it by exterior looks…it’s what’s inside that counts!

Overall I would eat here again. The omelette bar looked great, but had little time to eat so had to skip. Everything was great except the scrambled eggs, it was almost like to much milk was added, they had a texture of creamy mashed potatoes. Was not expecting that. Hopefully it was just an error with that batch.

I'm giving it a four because it's normally good whenever I dine in. Let me preface by saying that my takeout experience in a lot of restaurants have not been good lately. My go to order is,fried green tomatoes which were overdone and it tasted like old grease. Country fried steak and mashed potatoes with white gravy, it was OK. And I was really bitter that they didn't have fried okra anymore. Maybe it was just an off day because it's always been good previously. Of course I will go back and try again because I love this place. Also the coconut cream pie is awesome! And if you like chicken livers I heard they were excellent as well.

The only place for country fried steak. You get 2 sides with 2 pieces of steak. Red skinned mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. The place was super busy when I stopped in. It's usually a good lunch spot with the older crowd. You get free cornbread too. I've had their Sunday Brunch also. If you're in Louisville near Westport road, give them a try. I haven't been disappointed yet.

I gave a 4 star rate instead of 5 because the restaurant could've been cleaner. It wasn't nasty though. The food & service on the other hand were GREAT!!! I have always wanted to like fried green tomatoes but up till now I never liked them from anywhere I tried them except for here!!! They were amazing!!! Plain, with ranch, or with their other sauce, I absolutely loved them!! I wanted our waitress to compliment the cook for me but he was close by & heard me & was nice enough to tell me how he makes them!! Talk about service!! All the food was great but my favorite was the fried green tomatoes!! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!

Had an awesome Sunday Brunch there. Great people, great food, hearty fare for the working man, not froofy bullcrap for snowflakes. Just what I like in a good diner. It was great. The hostess was really cool too. I highly recommend it.
