This was our first time trying any of the restaurants at 4th Street Live, and Gordon Biersch is conveniently located right on the front corner. They have a good sized patio outdoor seating area, complete with a fireplace for cooler days! The inside of the restaurant is cool, because you can also see right into the area where they brew the beer on-site! My husband and I are not big beer drinkers, but we did try the Hard Seltzer that they make on-site! I got the Apricot Hard Seltzer, and it was fruity and refreshing! We also tried the Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade which sadly was kinda bland and not as good as I thought it was going to be! The Bourbon Peach Smash was amazing, and definitely a perfect Spring and Summer drink! For appetizers, we had the Housemade Bavarian Pretzel and the Legendary Garlic Fries! Both were soo yummy! The pretzel was bigger than my head, and so soft and pillowy! The garlic fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For entrees, we had the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries, and the Crispy Chicken Schnitzel with broccoli. The Philly Cheesesteak was cheesy and delicious! We were a little bummed they didn't offer mushrooms as an option on it, but it was still very good even without them. The Chicken Schnitzel was perfectly crispy and juicy on the inside! The potatoes and broccoli were very good and perfectly seasoned! Everyone from the hostess to our server to the manager and the Brewmaster were super friendly and the service was great! The Brewmaster was kind enough to let us take a peek in the brewery area, which was a very cool behind the scenes experience! We will definitely eat here again!

Excellent atmosphere, wonderful staff. However, I got the salmon - the most expensive meal on the menu, and was extremely disappointed when my plate came and it was literally 3 bites of salmon. Finished my entire meal in under 5 minutes and left hungry.

I ate later in the evening after the rush. The hostess was not friendly nor in top of their game. The two girls were basically talking and not paying any attention to the door. No friendly greeting like in most restaurants. I had to tell her I wanted to eat. The best part was the waitress, but I saw she was tired and trying to catch up after the rush. The did took a while to come and few were left in the place. Had basically a chicken sandwich. The chicken was literally pressed flat and dry with charred parts on it. The broccoli tasted like it was cooked in river water and was far over cooked. I did not eat it. The saving grace was the Winterbock, dark beer I had which is a wonderful, full bodied beer with no bitterness ??. I'd go back to have another beer. A restaurant should have top food from opening to close. This place failed that test.

Staff was friendly. Kitchen couldn't get their act together and the wait staff had to fix the issues. It was a large group but instead of getting things out as they came up and we asked since a couple members of our party was on a time crunch, they let it set and that led to the confusion. That didn't explain why tables were being bussed after other patrons left. We were there for almost 2 hours and 2 groups had left and their tables were not cleaned for well over an hour.

Rude staff pushing through crowded seating areas...45min to get a drink, which I had to ask for. FFW 1.2hrs after ordering food, it arrived. It was heavy on the luke, not so much on the warm. Even fresh it likely wouldn't have been anything special. Small portion sizes, high cost.Refills or straws? Good luck. It didn't even appear to be busy, Wednesday evening between 6 and 8pm

I simply wanted a burger during my lunch break. Just sat there for 20 minutes several waitresses and bartenders looked my way but none came by. Last time I EVER come back. Worst service on Fourth Street Live.

I went to Louisville for work and has been very disappointed with my food options for a few days. The restaurant was a bright spot. The cocktails were great and food was amazing. I ordered the wings with buffalo sauce on the side and calamari for appetizers. My daughter ordered the hamburger with garlic fries. My only complaint was that they were too greasy. I ordered the fish and chips, but the fish was very small. I enjoyed my experience and definitely will be back when I'm in town.

Went here with a work party, not a single one of us enjoyed the food we ate. Manager got the ribeye and had to go home early due to it making him sick. I don’t know how this place is still open.

Terrible beer choices for a brewery. Cocktails and food options weren’t much better.

The “Homemade Bavarian Soft Pretzel” for $15 is just two store bought frozen soft pretzels. Literal scam.

We came in on a Thursday after a gymnastics meet at 9pm with a party of 9 adults no kids. They had the main door blocked so it looked like it was closed. If we hadn’t looked to see that they closed at midnight we would have left. No hostess at the front, the bar tender had to go get her. Then she left for 5 more minutes I guess to look for a table only to sit us in the open table we could see by the bar. Our server took quite some time to greet us, brought water but never took our drink order. Finally we got him to take our orders. The food took 45 minutes to come out after it took 20 min for him to take our order. The drinks never came out, turns out he didn’t write them down. He came back with our drinks. The food came out and it was tasty except several of the orders were incorrect. We had to scour the bill to make sure we weren’t overcharged. We were…. All together it was not a great experience. The fact that this was one of the few places open late after the meet I would think the owners might try to drive business to the restaurant but instead they are pretending they are closed at 9:30 and providing super slow service. GB used to be one of my favorites l, but I will never return. It’s obvious no one wants to be here nor have they been given ANY hospitality training. This isn’t the fault of the employees this is a issue with the employer.
