My husband and I had a staycation at Hotel Genevieve and decided to walk into Lucky Penny with no reservation. Although I would highly recommend making a reservation, we did get seating right at the bar as soon as a couple was walking out. The incredible host/server Shae was so kind and seated us right away. She was very helpful to us and to all the other guests that were there. The bartender was also great and made sure that we were taken care of. Definitely will be back! It's such a cool space, it really doesn't feel like you're inside a disco ball. The drinks were great also!!

The ambiance, the music, and the location was amazing! I took a friend of mine out in Nulu and of course had to stop at this hidden gem! The best part was the phenomenal service from bartender! She was very knowledgeable and had such Charisma ! I will be back for sure!

Some friends told me to check this place out and I'm so glad I did. Shae made me and my date feel super comfy. She knows what's she's doing and was exactly the energy I needed before a full Friday night out. My date isn't too much of a liquor/cocktail type but she found him the perfect thing. Will definitely be a regular spot for me. The location is super convenient to meet for a date or to meet with friends. LOVVEEE!

After visiting Bar Genevieve my best friend wanted to show us how to find the speakeasy he'd visited earlier in the week. We knew reservations were booked through the new year and expected a peek only - but, after being let in to check out the space the server found us an opening and we got to enjoy a couple of cocktails. Each drink is $14. High end but then again, most places that offer great ambiance - velvety couches and blankets - are within this range. My cocktails were displays of fun, each including a disco ball theme, and packed a punch. Service was top notch too and I loved the staff recognized my best friend from his visit earlier and each welcomed him back. The space can be quiet or loud, depending on the crowd around you. This is great for two people or a group as long as you remember to book a reservation in advance. If not, doesn't hurt to peek inside and see if there's an extra chair, especially when it opens. You could spend an entire night roaming Hotel Genevieve and the spots it offers for drinks, food and conversation.

The Lucky Penny bar is super cute and tucked away in the hotel, reservations are advised since it is a smaller atmosphere! It's intimate with a cool speak easy vibe! During the holidays it's the Dicso Blizzard and they have very fun holiday themed drinks! My husband and I ordered the "Smore, Smore, Smore" and the "Disco Inferno" and we enjoyed both drinks very much!

Just an FYI, the drinks down here are $2-$5 more than they are on the rooftop… go to the rooftop

Two people really stood out on this trip - Jeff at the Valet service and Karen at the front desk. They were amazing. Jeff was so friendly and prompt in getting us our car. He especially went above and beyond when we had issues during the Nulu event that closed Market Street. Karen was also extremely friendly and fun! She recommended fabulous restaurants that really made our vacation great.

Beautiful gem in the NuLu part of Louisville. Walkable area with shops, bars and restaurants. Super easy to get to off the highway. Welcoming and beautifully designed atmosphere in the lobby and throughout the hotel. Don’t miss the rooftop bar! Ask about the speak-easy and enjoy that unique area. Walk to RabbitHole distillery for a whisky taste or just check out the gift shop. Louisville is a great place to visit and I highly recommend Hotel Genevieve as a destination unto itself.

We had a great time at Hotel Genevieve!!! Beautiful, clean and love the decor. Such a great a wonderful addition to Louisville and Nulu. Great restaurant, cafe and roof top bar. We will definitely be back!!

Everything was perfect. The staff is exceptional! From Jarvis and Jeff at Valet (so kind and nice and helpful) to the front desk staff and Andrew, it’s definitely a home away from home experience the minute you step foot into the hotel. XO. Will return soon and highly recommend.
