I can’t even tell you how many places I did tastings at for food for my wedding. I am very picky and I was giving up hope, when I had my tasting at Morris deli I actually cried tears of joy. Finally food both my guests and I could all enjoy! We had the brisket, ham and chicken for all the meat people. As a person that enjoys more the “sides” I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and the pepper jack Mac and cheese!! I never got tired of them while having leftovers after the wedding they were the best mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese I have ever had! The appetizers of the pimento cheese wontons and bourbon meatballs were also a hit at cocktail hour! Morris also provided all the drinks for cocktail hour and the reception. They were delightful and very professional to work with. I would recommend their catering for major events and just to stop by for a nice lunch any day!

Just placed a fairly large order with quarts of soup etc. I called in and included a fried bologna sandwich. May have been a language difference, thought I wanted a regular bologna sandwich, no big deal. Issue was how rude and condescending the clerk was when I called in to ask to remove from bill, I didn’t want it. Apparently they do not offer fried bologna and I couldn’t have even ordered one from the previous clerk, I did. Wasn’t the issue. I have been ordering pretty regularly since KaremDeeb days and never had an issue with rudeness until today. Not sure how you can have hot sandwiches but no fried bologna either. Live and learn.

Everything was so good I got myself a turkey with American cheese bacon onion pickle Green pepper banana peppers mayo on hoagie bun. "Only pic is half the sandwich " I shared with my daughter. it was absolutely delicious , I got to 12oz bowls soup one bean one broccoli and cheddar! The smaller container of bacon pasta salad. I should had got the larger one see pics for proof I almost forgot to take pictures it was so good. My son got a blueberry muffin he ate that in the car did not get picture but he loved it! Very fresh first time customer will definitely drive the distance from home to enjoy again !

OG Highlands. Combine Lotsa Pasta, quality meat, cheeses, and breads with Preston Highway Taco truck prices and you’re starting to get close to the amazing food these guys prepare. Order off the menu or if you want something special , ask one of the guys to build you one of their personal favorite sandwiches— after all, these guys know how to make a masterpiece meat, cheese and veggie sandwich. The absolute best deli sandwich and soup you can get in the whole city. Dope selection of breads, meats, cheeses, toppings and everything is always so fresh. I have gotten food to go here at least 10 times and tonight my boyfriend us picked up 3 container of different soups $13 each and as soon as he got into his car the small box they gave him to carry the soups in busted one of the containers and made another container fall out and it instantly broke lid and went all over the car. He went back in to see if they could at least get two of the soups replaced since the tiny Calypso box they gave him busted the container but they didn't care at all and said no way. Terrible service for someone who just spent $50 on soups and sandwiches.

IYKYK!!Morris Deli is most definitely a spot to try! Everything about this place screams hole in the wall, yet this place is such a GEM! Just on the edge of the Highlands, Morris Deli is not only your stop for your packaged drinks, but a nice sandwich or homemade soup as well. Drive by on the right day, you'll also see the smoker blowing outside. My sandwich of choice is a club on a toasted croissant with Colby cheese and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Look at the pictures, this place doesn't miss! It's constantly full of usuals and the staff definitely knows their people. Morris Deli is the neighborhood classic and definitely a place to try when in Louisville.
