Really good concept. Good flavors. But the food was barely warm. Even the queso wasn't hot enough to melt the shredded cheese. Water was self-serve out of a cooler, which wasn't filtered of course

One of the best hole-in-the-wall places in Louisville that I've been! So glad we got the recommendation. I loved the '80s ambiance, But the food is what stands out the most. If you're a foodie and you're in Louisville you definitely want to hit this place up. We got two burritos and an appetizer and the food amount was overwhelming, but the taste is what really sticks out in my mind. The best braised pork I've ever had in my life! The flavor was out of this world, and the pickled onions were amazing...and that wasn't even my dish! My husband and I will definitely be going back.

Best kept secret in Louisville! Fusion burritos that rival the best fusion burritos I've had in CA. Hole in the wall worth checking out!

One day I will no longer live in Louisville and New Wave Burritos will be one of those restaurants that will be missed. My wife and I get delivery once a week. New Wave never disappoints.

Delivery service has gone downhill. The last time I ordered delivery, the order was missing an item. I called New Wave and no one answered. So I emailed and no one answered that either. This same thing has happened a few times in the last year or so. I kept trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but I finally gave up and won't be ordering delivery from them again. I really like New Wave, have been a regular customer for years. But I just can't do it anymore. At least not delivery. I suppose if I went in person there's less opportunity for the order to get messed up.

If you are a food enthusiast who loves a fusion of traditional and contemporary cuisine in a casual setting, then New Wave Burritos is a place you should not miss. Located in the heart of the city, this dive is breaking the chains of the typical Tex-Mex cuisine and offering an innovative, bold, and surprisingly delicious twist to the beloved burrito.Every Wednesday through Saturday, the special burrito of the day dominates the menu, leaving patrons questioning, "How did they come up with this?" - a query soon forgotten once you take your first bite. The burritos are masterfully created with unique and interesting combinations that you wouldn't typically expect to find, yet they work together harmoniously.Their empanadas, a star dish in their own right, deserve an honorable mention. The crust is flaky and delicate while retaining the robustness to hold the filling without falling apart. The fillings are perfectly seasoned, creating a perfect blend of textures and flavors in every bite. What sets New Wave Burritos further apart is their personalized delivery service. They employ their own drivers, which not only supports local jobs but also ensures the timely and efficient arrival of your food. The packaging is excellent, maintaining the integrity and warmth of the dishes right to your doorstep. The ambiance is perfect for those seeking a low-key, laid-back experience. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to explain the intriguing menu to newcomers. Their suggestions are spot on, guiding you through the taste adventure that New Wave Burritos has come to represent.Don't miss out on the opportunity to tantalize your taste buds with their specials, and make sure you try the empanadas - trust me, you won't regret it. Five stars from me for New Wave Burritos. Get your wave on, and ride the flavor surf to this superb eatery!

One of the most incredible Burritos I’ve ever eaten!!! I got the Hooter, and it was absolutely perfect !! The house made chips were good, service was fast, and our whole group enjoyed their food. Burritos were big and filling! Prices are very reasonable and the vibe of the place is pretty cool, only has about 20 seats, so more of a take out place, but they accommodated our group of 15 nicely!

Didn't eat, didn't drink. Douchebag with the cutoff sweater around his head must not have seen anyone at the bar. There were 2 of us. He fucks around a bit and his buddy with the converse sits back and stares. Surly you don't have to f****** wait in the food order line to grab a beer? He then asks folks in line and they were getting drinks and he walks off. Was looking forward to a burrito and a few beers. Get some better f****** help. Dude was overwhelmed and lost

The burrito with the tots was incredible. I had it as a bowl. Loved the vibe inside and enjoyed pinball as we waited.
