absolutely the heart of the neighborhood

A friendly place to enjoy a cold beverage. I enjoy taking growlers home too. The bartenders are knowledgable and pleasant. Parking can be a challenge so look for nearby street parking.

Beer is pretty good. The bartender greeted every one who came in except for me though. Couldn’t even crack a smile. For context I didn’t look like anyone inside ✋?

Stopped in & tried a cider- it was light and refreshing on a warmer fall day! This small brewery is perfect for anyone exploring the Old Louisville neighborhood, the bartenders are kind and knowledgeable about the menu and the neighborhood in general. They have new beers very frequently so it's worth stopping back in to try something new!

A great local place for delicious beer! If you’re here in season, try the Halloween Candy and Beer pairing!

This is the perfect neighborhood pub and gathering place. The beer is consistently good, and you can't beat seeing friends and neighbors here all the time.

Fantastic brewery! Well worth a visit. No food but good chips and the occasional dessert. Definitely get a howler!

Love that this place feels more like a fun hangout spot to go with friends than an actual bar! Their staff is super friendly & seems to go the extra mile in caring for customers. I also love that they offer drink samples (so you don't waste your money on something you don't like)! The main downside is that they only offer snacks, not sandwiches or more substantial food options. Otherwise, this is great place to go for drinks + board games with your friends! Hoping they fix their popcorn machine soon, though!!

Chill vibe, and they’re cool with nice dogs on leashes inside. Just a nice place, with nice people. If you’re looking for an old school, come as you are, unpretentious tavern to have a drink and unwind, this is for you. I would have given them five stars but I didn’t care for their beers. I’m more of a lager fan and theirs were not tasting good to me that night - but the cocktails were tremendous! I’d recommend this place and we’ll go again when in Louisville.
Offering a variety of house made beers on tap plus several bourbon based mixed drinks. They're generous with their samples. I had a pint of their most popular mango-flavored Blondie and also a hard cider. I'd have both again! Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere filled with locals. I would like to see more food options as they were limited to just chips the night I was there. Will be going back!

After attending the St. James Art fair, we wanted to relax and enjoy a cold libation and the Old Louisville Brewery was a great option. Beers are a combination of theirs and collaboration with other breweries. Also on tap were a cider and a seltzer that rotate. Beers are reasonably priced from $6 to $8 and come in 8 or 16 oz pours. Food options are limited with a daily special. The ambiance is that of your local neighborhood bar where you'd go to meet friends, catch a game, or just catch up. In Old Louisville and want a place to get friendly service and a pour? Old Louisville brewery has you covered. Cheers!
