The quality of the sushi and sashimi has gone down over the past 5 years and now I only visit on rare occasions. This used to be my favorite place to get sushi and sashimi. The service was never great and the waitress would rarely check on the table to see if we needed drinks or if we were ready to order.

The calamari is delicious. The popcorn lobster roll and the BTS roll was very good.

Went first open Terrible service and a very stand-off waitress had waited 15 minutes and literally had to get ip and ask to be served. Felt Racial profile and lied unhelpful waitress very unpleasant act as though we couldn’t afford the sushi sat us right by the waitress post. We were leaving then there were concerns, all the waitress were standing by the bar on their cellphones!!!! The hispanic guests were seated by the restrooms . The place had just opened so there weren’t any but two other set of people.. Save tour money and definitely don’t be if another race or gender…
May salmon sushi smell funny. So I was scare to eat. I am very picky when I eat sushi. It must be fresh and clean. I just don’t feel safe when I see them prepare my plate. The sushi chef wiping his butt when he was making my sushi plate. This is so disgusting. I have them 2 stars because my server was nice.

Service is wonderful and we received the food quickly. The atmosphere is nice if not a bit loud. Sake is great, beer is great. Love the house salad and the seaweed salad. Some really cool sushi combo, try the Sunken Titanic if you dare. Salmon doesn't have a lot of flavour on its own and wish it came chilled instead of room temperature.

I had trrible experience with the service , the waitress very rude ? . I was asking questions abuout the menu because I couldn't eat raw fish due I am expecting , she cut me off and went to take other orders ?. When she brought the check she rushed me requesting to pay the check right away I have never felt like that at any restaurant. Don't think I will come back. Waitress name: Selenge.

Sapporo is my favorite sushi restaurant in Louisville not only for their atmosphere, delicious food, and killer happy hour. Service is always impeccable, and take out orders are always correct.I am so glad they got rid of their hibachi tables to put in more seating because there's often time a wait.Special tip: sit at the sushi bar and you may get a special treat from the sushi chefs ;)
