“This place is amazing. I actually forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted talking to the owner about the amazing atmosphere and Ethiopian language and his experiences as an immigrant in the US and his very fancy coffee machine that he was very proud of ("the Telsla of coffee makers", he called it! He showed me how it works, and it is - in fact - the Tesla of coffee machines). So not only was the service and atmosphere absolutely inviting, the quality of human interaction I experienced was remarkable. I spent a full hour just talking and asking questions and getting to know the people working that day. Also - they have a printer available for anyone to use (pay like $.15/page or something) - all you have to do is email them and tell them "hey im having this printed and I'm going to come get it in half an hour" - which is such a thoughtful service to offer, especially for those of us who dont have a home printer but still need to be able to print resumes and school assignments or various forms required for daily adult life. So - if you're just looking for a great cup of coffee or a tasty treat, I would highly recommend this place. My medium coffee and baklava (a generous serving) came out to $11 - very reasonably priced. If you are looking to connect with new people and experience a sense of community and perhaps indulge in a bit of cultural exchange, in addition to enjoying a delicious coffee, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed at Abol Cafe.“

“This place is fantastic. I order meals each week to feed my family and now I don't have to worry about what's for dinner. We haven't had a meal we don't like. Everything is delicious and macro balanced. I recommend this place to all my friends and family. I'm also a personal trainer and I have my clients use their meals to help reach their fat loss goals. “Awesome cafe and bakery. Stopped by for coffee and was pleasantly surprised by the pastry they offered. They were delicious and hit the spot. Many coffee options from espresso and the like to many different drip coffee options from other countries. Wish I had time to try other meals, like lunch but definitely next time.“

“The food here was absolutely AMAZING! I ordered the Farmhouse Skillet and we shared the Banana's Foster French Toast. Everything, down to the buttered toast with strawberry preserves, far exceeded any expectations that I had. Our server (Hallie) was so helpful and attentive without being overly present. She was pretty much the textbook definition of superior service. Her personality was great and she exuded good vibes! “I really like this cozy coffeehouse. It's adorable inside and a great place to meet friends. They have THE BEST chocolate chip cookies to take & bake. They've become a Christmas staple @ our house! I do wish there were more sugar free/sugar substitute drink options on the menu. If I could submit a suggestion, it would be that.“

“The food and service were amazing this morning. Our friends from out of town wanted to try it out. In the past I had never been impressed with it due to some service issues but today’s visit well surpassed my expectations. Bridget is on top of her game!! She was quick, highly attentive and delivered customer service like no other. Most importantly, she made some great recommendations and was courteous to me as she noticed the booth was a little tight so we moved it back some. I ordered the Belgium waffle which was perfectly crisp, served with butter and a berry compote on the side. I ordered a side of pork sausage and fried potatoes. Perfect pairings. I really enjoyed that they leave water in a jug at the table. That’s a good touch. My husband ordered the works omelet which included mushrooms, cheese, sausage, bacon, ham and of course (egg) with a side of buttered grits. I’m not a fan of grits at all but he described them as very delicious. We will be back and will ask specifically for Bridget!“

“This is my favorite place to stop and grab a quick light lunch. I love their spinach and cheese burek with a cappuccino . The tzatziki is light and refreshing. They also have a good gyro. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. I highly recommend this place.“

“Red Hot Chicken!? Red Hot Chicken would be better described as a mediocre, beer, pub buffalo chicken wings. Today the chicken was chewy and overcooked. Buffalo sauce would've been more mirrored to a place where they wear Tight shorts and tight shirts. Overall fabulous experience. Wonderful menu, great staff and the crabcakes are to fight for. Biggest suggestion I could make would be that the restaurant provide a lunch menu so as not to confuse the guest with items that were not able to be purchased until after 5 PM. When I return, it will definitely be after 5 PM and I'm looking forward to trying the lamb and the spaghetti.“

“We came here after my daughter's wedding for a meal with all of the guests. Sandra had a beautiful, elegant table set for us and I can't remember having a more delicious meal. We were treated like royalty by Trent, Maria and Sandra herself. I highly recommend this restaurant!!“

“We were in area and stopping in to the shopping plaza when we discovered this gem. I met Camille, the owner, who was very sweet. We tried the banana pudding and butter pecan ice creams. They were both smooth and delicious. I also got a brownie that I warmed up when I got home. It was everything I didn't know I needed. Will definitely be back to try other cakes and coffees. The shop is small so not somewhere to take a big group. Plenty of parking is in front of shop.“

“This coffee spot is right out in the open and still almost hidden away. I absolutely love the service! My cold and/or hot coffees are always exactly as I specify and regardless of the day, weather and business, I am consistently greeted, promptly, with a genuine smile, order double checked before the charge and gifted with light chitchat. I almost always get a frozen caramel macchiato with extra espresso shots. The recommendations are always on point as well and if I don't hand it to the customer representative, I am asked for my frequent customer stamp card. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Love this place. Great sandwiches with fresh ingredients and wonderful flavors. The soups are made fresh and change every day. Never had a bad soup or sandwich. Service is excellent with always smiling faces. Great value for the money too. Eat there a couple of times a week it's so good. Been there for breakfast a few times and always great, especially the cheese potatoes.“

“First time at the new Fern Creek location. The shopping center it's in can be a bit busy, but the restaurant is nice, service was fast & friendly, & food was great. Definitely glad to have a location closer to home.Parking: It's in a big shopping center with several buildings, including a Starbucks & McDonald's, so traffic can get heavy during peak hours & you might not get a spot close. But the parking lot itself is big, so you might have to park further down & walk.“

“We're obsessed with this place. My husband says it's possibly the best pizza he's ever had and he's not wrong. I love all the other things, brie dip, hummus, mushroom soup, etc.Kid-friendliness: They are super kind to the kids we bring. We always sit at the booth/chair combo table which is good for trapping squirmy children.“

“I've lived in Louisville my whole life and before today I had never tried Heine Bros, but my boyfriend and I decided to go today. We both got breakfast wraps, he got a vanilla latte, and I got a crème brule latte. My latte was very sweet, and although it's good, I like to be able to taste the coffee - so it's not for me. My boyfriends was better and I could definitely taste the coffee more. The breakfast wraps were decent, a little bland, but good with the salsa. The service was impeccable and very kind though, although not particularly quick, they helped us decide what to order and were very patient with us. I would come back again and try more things.“

“I've seen this place several times and decided to give it a try. Got the BLT and a pasta salad. For the price I expected a little more. It was good, but the sandwich was the size of one you would make at home. The staff is really nice and helpful. They also have a large selection of items that you can take home and cook in your own oven like lasagna, hot brown casserole, and many others. That looked interesting and is what I will try the next time I go in. The dining area is a little Spartan, but it serves its purpose. Will definitely go back.“
