Los Dos Amigos: where the salsa has more rhythm than I do and the guacamole is so good, it could probably solve world problems. This locally-owned gem makes me question why I ever attempted to make tacos at home - theirs are the real MVPs. Five stars for turning my taste buds into a lively Mexican fiesta, and for making me seriously reconsider my culinary skills. Gracias, Los Dos Amigos, for giving my taste buds a vacation south of the border!

This place is really good. I've been eating at Los Dos Amigos going on almost twenty years now. It's always good. The owner is friendly and makes sure his store is consistently a great choice in a town with 4 other Mexican restaurants.My go to order for dining in or take out is the Steak Chimichanga and an order of chips and salsa and maybe extra queso. The portion sizes here are excellent you can ask for a to go box and feel like you got plenty for the price. Their rice with beans are always perfect. The salsa is great. The Chicken California Burrito is always awesome. The enchiladas! They have a lot of good stuff.They also have a bar and they have huge draft beers. If you've never been here give it a shot it's the best in Nicholasville.Parking: Plenty of parking available.Kid-friendliness: This place looks smaller than it is from the road. A family of 8 wouldn't have any problems they have booths and tables.

Amazing food it's as close to authentic as you can find around here with great service. I took a friend of mine who's used to eating American Mexican food and had her trying everything .
Opted to try this place with Fiesta Mexico being busy, and I kinda wish I would've waited for FM. The waitress didn't seem like she spoke much English, she took a while to even come get our drink orders. It also took far too long to take our food orders, despite the fact they weren't busy in the slightest. Food wasn't fast to come out, but it was fairly decent. Not bad, but not impressive, especially considering the other problems.If you're going to come here, I'd recommend it being for take-out, but Nicholasville has plenty of other good Mexican food to get.

The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The salsa was less than pleasant and the margarita was almost certainly without more than a drop or two of alcohol. That along with the fact that our waitress couldn't speak to us or understand even basic English made the overall experience not worth doing again.
