Great place for Italian cuisine. A favorite for business lunch. Service is top-notch. They will even make special dishes that have been taken off the menu if you ask. The hot brown is to die for. It's always a favorite in my

Best Italian we’ve found in Owensboro. Second time here and again a delicious meal. Reservation is a good idea for this small, popular restaurant. Recommend chicken piccata. A bit pricey.

Very loud and horrible service, we got sat then no one ever came to take our order, the only person who helped us out was one of the host!

Thursday night around 7pm my friend and I decided to go out for Italian. When you walk in you see into the kitchen. The room is pretty basic. We requested to sit in the front room. It has beautiful walls and much more ambiance. They were busy in there with a huge family but we sat at the table closest to the bar. The bar has nice lighting and a drink menu. I had the best drink I have ever had! Oops I had 2. WINE DIAMOND, order it and thank me later. The bread qnd oil before dinner are very flavorful. We added Caesar salads to our entrees. Lettuce was fresh as was the dressing n the side. The salmon piccata was delicious and perfectly cooked. The Lemoncello cake so light and perfect for dessert.

We walked in,hostess was behind counter eating.Asked if we had reservations, we said no. There wasn't one other customer in the place, we were there when they opened. She got menus, marched to a table ,we assumed we should follow, she never even spoke to us. The server was friendly, professional. I ordered eggplant parmesan, had 3 little circles of eggplant on top of spaghetti. We've eaten Italian all over including Italy,so we weren't impressed at all ,but the rude hostess was what was most surprising. I guess she was upset we interrupted her dinner. We never returned.

Overall we had a good experience. We made reservations ahead of time. Service was a little rushed and could have benefited from being more detailed. Our food came out on time and in order, and everything was delicious.

Food is expensive for the quality. I'd expect to pay about $10 less for what we ordered. Atmosphere was fine but I expected it to be much nicer/fancier due to price & type of food being served. It's not bad by any means, just not as good as I had expected. If you have any dietary restrictions, I would not dine here as they are not particularly accommodating.

I was told it was authentic italian food. I ordered something and requested a topping me left out and was told its all premade and nothing can be removed. it was greasy to another level. no taste in anything whatsoever. the most bland food ive ever tasted. it was very mushy and falling apart from the grease all over it. some of the waffle fries were completely uncooked not only on my plate, but another person i was eating with. the waitress we had was nice and helpful though and made sure we had everything we needed and always kept our drinks filled.

Service was slow, room was very bare, more like an unused room, no table cloths, no condiments ie; salt, pepper sugar, etc, thought it was overpriced for the appearance although the food was good

On our way home to Nashville from Holiday World, I pulled over on the side of the road to find the closest non-chain restaurant, closely off the exit, on the way home. This popped up, we love Italian, and it was a quick decision. When we arrived, the building is confusing and we went to the wrong door. As we were loading up, I decided to call because I could smell garlic. The kind lady who answered the phone came out and found us in the parking lot and took us directly to a table. My expectations were low. Yes, this is an offensive statement, but it is Kentucky and when I think Kentucky (or even my home state, for that matter), I certainly don't think Italian. The menu seemed pretty standard with the exception of some really nice specials. When we received our food, I'd love to have had a hidden camera reaction from all our five faces. Yes, it's Italian, but nothing like I've ever tasted in a Southern state. You can tell there was a freshness difference and a prep difference. My oldest son had the salmon special with the crab topping. My other son, spaghetti and meatballs. Spouse...chicken parmesan. Daughter...cheese pizza. Me....a baked ziti dish. Yes, all sound common, but there was nothing common about them. My daughter decided to dive into mine, and it was plenty for us both. That left her with three left over pizza slices. Not to let food waste, I had to try one. The BEST cheese pizza I've ever had. Seriously. As we left, we all went to the kitchen window, yelled "Niko," and applauded him and his team. Don't miss this place. We may just drive back there JUST to eat for a special occasion.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids' menus with diverse choices. Nothing was over $7.99.Parking: Tough to find the correct door to enter. A side door says "go to the next door" with an arrow, but when you go to that door, which is marked "Niko's," it's locked. Just keep circling. You'll find it.
