At approximately 6:30 pm, on my to Hardees Drive Thru, I ordered a number 5 meal, and a med coke. I asked for a military discount. The DT cashier, asked the manager to complete the order. The manger completed the order and apparently got upset because he mistakenly gave me a wrong discount. He told me it was $10 even, which is what I thought I paid. His next words to me was "this will never happen again" in a matter of fact tone. He did not explain what I was charged or paid. He accused me of raising my voice, which i did not. I did ask a question to seek clarity because I was confused. At this point I was more confused by tone he was using regarding an apparent mistake that he made. I responded "sir I am not raising my voice" I am just trying to ask a question. He responds with "you want to pay more". At this point I still don't know what I paid, just that I received a bigger discount than I should have. Again just seeking clarity he was upset that I was asking a question. I left the drive thru confused about what just occurred. I returned about 5 minutes later to get my receipt so I know what I paid for the meal. After asking for the receipt, I told him that I never raised my voice and he insisted that I did and said he already called his owner. Again I said Sir I did not raise my voice and I was was just trying to understand what I paid. He gave me the receipt and was showing me what I paid. I acknowledged that I received a discount that was larger than I should have, but said I never raised my voice in the drive thru. He insisted that I did and that he was not putting up with that. At that point, I did become upset, if i was mature enough to come back in that in a calm manner to get a receipt, he could at the minimum said something to the effect of sorry if I took your tone the wrong way, no, it was just an insistent that I raised my voice to him. At that point I did raise my voice and cussed at him because I became very upset. It is very apparent to me now that this manager, Vernon, was mad at his own mistake and took it out on me. I would like someone to review the drive thru recording and show me when I raised my voice. I also want you to view his tone regarding "this never happening again". Please view the recording of both these incidents. I would like someone to contact me about what my perceived behavior (voice raising) during that encounter. Also review the customer service of a manager who made a mistake and the way he verbalized that to the customer. As I always say folks, “You be the Judge”.There’s too much stupidness in our world today. Check this out.So I ordered my breakfast ? and paid with my debit card ?. The cashier assembles my order, comes back to the register and says……your card declined.I said, I don’t think so it’s payday for me. So I open my bank app and show him that the transaction already went through my bank. It literally showed “Hardee’s $8.07”.The guy says well, it ain’t went through on our end. I said, bruh that’s not my fault I have no control over that but I have shown you that the transaction went through my bank. Can I have my breakfast Please!!!!Here’s where things get offensive ? ?They place and keep my order way back behind the counter like I’m a criminal or a homeless person trying to steal something. Next thing I know the Manager comes out. Southern accent and Southern Attitude stronger than the year 1850, General Lee would’ve rolled over if you know what I mean? And in a very Nasty, Angry tone says “We can’t give you anything until it goes through on our end!!”I suddenly felt like I should be wearing gunnie sack clothing or working in someone’s field. ????? I exaggerate, but seriously you could just feel the hate seething through her voice. Like, how dare this type of person question what we do here. I’d temporarily forgotten where I was, I was in the south. Maybe they had a colored section that I’d missed ??‍♂️, or a “Whites Only” counter that I wasn’t welcome at. And all this happening during Black History Month ?????? who knew ??‍♂️. So of course I didn’t get my breakfast (the daughter of Confederacy wasn’t having it)And got robbed of my money ? at the time. They later issued me a credit tho. I’m assuming after the manager realized that slavery actually ended long ago and the south lost the war. I think ? I will keep driving next time I’m hungry and near this Hardee’s. I don’t need a “Black History Lesson” every time I want something to eat. They’re literally serving Confederate Burgers ? and fries ?.If you stop by make sure they’ll serve YOUR kind!!!Stay vigilant in 2024 folks and I hope your experiences are better than mine ☝?.

I go out of my way almost every morning to come to this Hardee’s, particularly. The service is always phenomenal, the front line crew is definitely the nicest ever come across in fast food restaurant. The food is always good and I love their breakfast. 10 out of 10 for me.
