My husband and I tried Poochys today for the first time! This is the best establishment we have in Shelbyville hands down! I am literally mad at myself for not trying them out sooner. You won’t be disappointed, try them out!

This is a small locally owned and operated bbq joint in Shelbyville. Just follow the wood smoke. They do bbq off the smoker and served from a steam table or made to order items from the kitchen. I got the wings. The wings are 10 for $11. It's a good portion. I think Poochy is buying randoms because the sizes on the wings are varied. No matter he cooks them well and has a pretty nice bbq sauce to go on them. I ordered bbq extra hot. It's enough heat to notice there is some heat but it's not a burning heat. I guess I'm speaking for myself. Louie's extra hot is hot right off the bat. It hits you in the throat and doesn't give up. Bw3 mango habanero is a building heat. It takes a couple of wings to get going. Tabasco is not hot at all in my opinion. That's my frame of reference for heat. The people running this place are very welcoming and friendly. He's running a real deal smoker out front so I'm going to have to come back for some pulled pork and rib tips. Smoke on Poochy!

Big chicken wings. Good beans. Good mac n cheese. Clean place. Good people. Never had the rib tips before, and I never thought they would taste that good. I will be stopping by again if I ever get the chance.

Talk about some comfort food! Poochy's catered my sister's wedding and it was perfect. The good ole fashioned Mac n cheese is scrumptious. Not only is the food great, but the people working there are simply lovely. They're so nice and nice to be around. We have to keep this business is our small town, it's so so great.

Just wanted to share that my girlfriend and I had lunch from Poochy, LLC (Poochy's Place) and it was great!She had rib tips, mac & cheese and ghetto beans. I had pulled pork, mac & cheese and ghetto beans. We're impressed. The place was very clean and organized. Donna that served us was the sweetest person and very helpful in our selections. She let us taste test the ghetto beans before ordering and they are a MUST try. Everything was good, portions were big and it all had that family cookout/bbq feel and flavor. Yum. What a pleasant surprise.
