Service was ok food was ok and then the OVERWHELMING smell of sewage filled the restaurant. The waitress said "they're sucking out the grease trap." If it's that well known to the staff that sucking out the grease trap fills the restaurant with a sewage smell then that is incredibly poor management. Do that before you open because you just cost yourself a repeat customer that eats here at least once or twice a week. I don't know if it was the grease trap or not but I definitely do know what sewage smells like. Oh well now that's one less option for lunch in the small town.

Love the queso at Tumbleweed. Also, the beef and cheese burritos are great. Beef is not mushy and has great flavor. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

It has been over a decade since I have been to a Tumbleweed and now I remember why this favorite from year's past has been closing restaurants and contracted since the glory days of my childhood. The Shelbville restaurant was disgustingly dirty. The tables were never being bused even though employees were just standing around and in our case, took a smoke break in the middle of dinner service. The bathrooms looked like that they had not been properly cleaned in weeks. No glass for our dirty-bottle beers. Baskets of greasy chips delivered stacked on top of each other! Tasteless salsa (well that hasn't changed over the years), table-side guac that used parsley instead of cilantro (!), taco salads that were acceptable in some kind of puffy bowl that could hold half of it. For just an order of guac, a beer, and two tac salads we were there for 2 hours and 15 minutes - and you could see the staff just standing around. This place was obviously not managed properly; if people could only believe that the Tumbleweed of the 1980s/90s was the place to be. How can an owner let this continue?

The beef enchiladas looked like they were filled with dog food, they were SPICY with no warning, the smell was not appealing, the worker who answered the phone was initially RUDE. And I payed $18 for this??? Also, this is supposed to be a double order of rice?? Never seen it this bad before. I’ve worked in the food industry for over 10 years, I know how you’re supposed to handle things, and this is not it.

Quite possibly the absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to. Disgusting food. , ordered 2 chicken tacos; one was some sort of sliced meat and the other was literally canned chicken. The "salsa" was from a jar, pace picante I think and the service was mediocre

We were here about 6 months ago and it was ok. The queso is out of a jar. The salsa is out of a jar. The staff huddled in a booth and basically gossiped the whole time. The bar tender, although she seems cool was inattentive and my husband reached over the bar to grab a roll of napkins. IF MANAGEMENT DOESNT FIRE EVERYONE AND START OVER ID GIVE THIS PLACE 6 MONTHS AT BEST! We love a hole in the wall but this isn't it. The fajita steak didn't even have a crisp edge. It looked like meat that was heated up. I had such high hopes! Dear Management... HELP! It's too cute to go to hell in ā handbasket!

We arrived right after opening so we had a wait for the food.Our waitress, Amanda L., was PHENOMENAL! She was friendly and always checking on us. Highly recommend a visit!

Tried for 3rd time after friend said gotten better. Had burrito with grilled chicken it but looked like boiled chicken. Was looking for that wow factor. Didnt get it. Food was good but needs seasoning and more attention.Parking: Entrance inconvenietly and awkwardly in the rear.
