We ordered take out. We did not get our salad, soup or yum yum sauce. When we call back they said we had to request it they didn't just give that to you. What restraunt makes you request thing that are included in your meal?????

First off we were a group of two adults and 10 children. The server came and we were only ordering sweet tea or lemonade simple right? No we had to tell her the drink order 3 times and she was still came out two drinks short and then she takes the order. Once again simple 2 teriyaki dinner meals and 6 hibachi kids meals. 6 salads 5 with ranch and 1with ginger dressing. We had to give the order twice before she understood. By this time I'm done, but the kids had waited this long. She came back and ask if it was one dinner or two. Ok patience wearing thin. Two dinners for the third time. She bright the salads could not remember who got the ginger after she was told 3 times that it went to an adult. Next, she brings the soup we ordered that she forgot. When she brought the soup she ask if we were ready for the meals and we said yes. This girl, by this time server is giving to much credit, says great we have them ready. Ok so we expect them right now if done. No, I went 25 minutes later and ask when the food would be ready to serve. The other staff looked and said now. Keep in mind she had not come back nor had she filled drinks. Three people bring our food and we had to ask for 5 extra plates for the fourth time. She brings a gallon of tea and disappears. We eat, I pay and realize I did not bring cash for the tip. We gathered the children and as we were getting them outside so I could tell this girl I would be back with her tip I hear this girl yelling "Are you serious" as loud as she could. She couldn't serve us without messing it up and disappearing. First you don't get a tip for doing nothing but frustrating children and adults who took time to come to Yamatos to feed their kids. Second, we were going to be courteous and tip her simply because we know it's a big group, but to expect a tip and then yell around a group of kids because you did not see one. Funny how she was quick to go check for that tip but couldn't be that quick taking care of the customers. Third, Yamatos you should really screen your staff better they were discussing their frustrations with the job at their "break table" with customers around. I did call and let them know that we had every intention to tip but we do cash to ensure our server knows what a great job they did. I ask them to tell the server, who upset our kids by yelling, that I was tipping if she could have held her tongue and let me tell her I would be back in with it. Childish, immature, unprofessional girl who needs to learn her job and some respect before she serves the public. We could have made it really bad on her but we were quiet and polite. She lost her 20 tip cause she thought she deserved it. Sorry, I have been a server and you learn that people tip if you make them happy. They eat out to not stress by cooking and to have a break not deal with drama. I and my family will not be going back into Yamato we will go somewhere where they want our business. Even McDonald' has more respect. Whomever runs or owns Yamatos I would like to tell you, your server upset my daughter and grandkids. You were their favorite place now they don't want to come back. To the public I am aware of one bad seed but the other servers were complaining in front of customers too. FYI we were the only guest table she had. Stay away from there unless you want complaints and drama or want to go get your own food while they complain two tables over. I would give zero stars but it won't allow me too.

If I could give this a negative 5 I would we had went in at 6:10 and didn’t get our food for almost two hours around 7:45-7:50 because they were prioritizing DoorDash orders over every other order I saw around 6 big orders go out the door before my food was given to me and I had ordered the New York steak with salmon and I was given a half plate of rice a small 2 inch fillet of the worst salmon I have ever tasted it tasted like artificial fish and I wasn’t even given a steak I was given what looked to be about 3-4 cut up beef tips that were super well done and super dry with one of the worst crust on the “steak” I have ever seen it was hard and black on the bottom of each little dice of “steak” and the waitress had given us a $5 dollar coupon for the trouble then when going to pay another server said that the coupon will not be honored mind you I had gone with 3 other people so our total for the horrible food and service was 69-70 dollars plus two waitresses were dressed in PJ’s will never eat here again

Food was very good definitely get your money's worth! But the table was dirty and staff didn't seem like anyone knew what they were doing.
The Service so far is ok but all the waitresses were running around and there was virtually no one in the restaurant... The Ambiance is a touch the place is quite dirty and there are stains on the table that look like they haven't been cleaned. Food however, isn't really the best and they serve clear mushroom soup that isn't that good. It takes them around 10 minutes to bring out sushi and anything stake wise it take ~20 minutes. Again the employees were goofing off a lot and being quite loud. With the food again the rice doesn't have much flavor but the steak still tasted nice. I am still giving this place 1 star because of the employees. Again with my employee, she was good but the others were goofing off way too much. It cost us $30 to eat here which is a little bit high. 2 stars created now because our employee was nice.

Lets talk about this place. While on the outside it does not look like much and even on the inside it is pretty basic in the decor, the food here is not to be missed.I ordered a miso soup and salad right off the start. It was amazing. Top notch. Up there with other places that I visit. Then I ordered a Spicy Tuna roll. This sushi is in the top 3 of all sushi I have ever eaten. It was insanely good.Then I had my dinner which was a chicken and fillet hibachi with rice and veggies. It was 10 out of 10. Simply amazing. My friend ordered the Yakiniku which turned out to be 15 out of 10 after I tried it. If you are sleeping on this place, do not. Go out there and a get a fantastic meal.Now I will say that they need to step up there drink game. Cokes were flat and the Boba was not traditional. The Dr. Pepper was tasty though.Having said that, I go out to eat and not to drink beverages. And you won't find a better source for a delicious meal. Simply amazing.
First time at this restaurant here in Somerset. We entered had to seat ourselves (not a big deal) . We waited for about 10 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us there. She was very nice but at first not very attentive. We order our drinks then our food. The waitress came back to our table and said hey ma'am we have appetizers buy one get one half off. We say ok what do you have. She hands us a menu and we order. Waitress puts order in to computerized then ..... the guys making the sushi we are gonna call him Sushi boy (don't know his name) start to argue with the waitress in the middle of the restaurant that she didn't charge us right and that it wasn't on special. The waitress says read the sign we have this to attract more customer. Sushi boy still refuses to make food going back and forth reading the sign about 10 times before he goes back to the Sushi station. I observed him picking at his ear pods stratching his head all while have the same pair of gloves on. Now you would think he was making out appetizers at this point but no he goes to the back and argues some more about the discounted appetizers. Like for real. Our food came before our appetizers. Unfortunately after the scene played out in the dining room I did not enjoy the food. Our Sushi was warm and made with hair covered hands. The waitress was very apologetic and we appreciated it but will never go back. Koi express is so much better and very pleasant atmosphere
