She is amazing! My husband and I wanted a Star Wars cake to go with our Star Wars wedding and she did beyond amazing not only with making it look awesome but also in flavor. I can't even begin to express my gratitude for what The Cake Lady did for me today. She did far more than exceed my expectations. The Cake Lady literally came to the rescue in what I can only describe as a "Birthday Cake Emergency". It was my own fault. I thought I had one more day to order a cake for my Dad's birthday. Somehow the 14th came and went without me noticing. His birthday was today!! After trying the usual bakeries in town, and failing, I knew the corporate guys weren't going to be sympathetic to my particular situation. My only chance for a fresh birthday cake on such short notice was in the hands of our local talent. The option I should have went with in the first place. The Cake Lady stepped up to the task and executed one of, if not the best, birthday cake I have ever personally had. Definitely, and easily, THE BEST professionally made birthday cake in the category of Birthday Cake Emergencies. With the last minute being my only hope, I would have been more than thankful for a simple home made yellow cake with chocolate frosting. She produced something far more legendary for my Dad's special day though. It was visually amazing. It was decorated in celebration of his career in the horse industry. The cake itself and frosting were incredible. The cake achieved perfect levels of moisture and density. Scrumptious. The frosting? A superbly sweet and rich balance. I understand that professional bakers are very busy people. There's no doubt that The Cake Lady has her schedule book full. Maybe the planets were aligned just right. Or a higher power decided that I deserved a pass today. I dunno. What I do know is that I am sincerely grateful for the beautiful, and delicious, creation she made for my Dad on his birthday. Which by the way, he loved! Thank you so so much.
