The shrimp remoulade was great. Catfish not nearly as good as it was years ago. So sad about that. My friends had the oysters and said they were very good. Service and atmosphere very good.
Stopped in for a bite after departing New Orleans. My bride went for the Cobb Salad and I opted for the thin fried catfish. It was good and crispy but, I think I prefer the thicker fillets. Service was excellent and attentive. All said, a good experience all around.

Our family loves Middendorf’s thin crispy fish. Tried new location Slidell. They have changed from a small or large size plate to one size. Did not lower the price. Ask waitress if enough for two to share “oh yes”. She brought out 3 pieces of fish. When I questioned this. She argued that is “by the weight” these two pieces of thin cut fish could have barely weight 2 oz. Should have been 10 oz. Finally got manager. He brought out 3 more pieces.
