We came here on 3,11,24 at 1.50 am and it closed. I thought that it was open 24/7.

Crowded. No one greeted anyone. Tables were dirty. Chose to take out because counters and tables needed to be cleaned. 5 tables and 6 stools. Waited 10 minutes before ordering Togo. Food was

The waitress was anxious and not attentive. She took my appetizer order and then dropped the check. Never got checked on again. The plain omelet was not good. I didn't finish it. In hindsight I'm glad she didn't take my order after the appetizer. And expensive.

Nothing special and the bread is very dense for a burger.

Pure old-style middle-American culinary gold right here. My new must-visit spot whenever I'm in Alexandria. That cook runs the kitchen like a BOSS.

While I understand a wait when short staffed I don’t understand ice cold food or old grease used to make fries ? I wasted 27.19 and I’ll never be

The food was very good and cooked the way we ordered it. The restaurant looks like it could use a good deep clean but if you are looking for a old fashioned diner experience this is as close as you will get in Alexandria.Parking: Tight parking spots but for larger vehicles there is a big lot in the back.

Full disclosure, this is a diner, type restaurant, not fine dining. If you're a high maintenance type person and have to have everything just so, maybe this place is not for you. Now let's get down to business. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed. All of my visits have been during breakfast hours. I've always had good service and some of the best coffee that I've ever tasted. I've had a few of the breakfast offerings, but they usually hover around eggs, omelettes, pancakes, breakfast meats, etc. All good. They don't have a lot of fancy signage on the outside, so you have to be on the lookout if you're gonna look it up. Other than that, if you like no nonsense, good food, I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Extremely expensive for a diner. They charge you for everything. Burgers and sandwiches don't come with fries, you have to order them separately, making a club sandwich $15 before taxes. A single sausage patty is $5. So outrageous. There are also crazy rules posted everywhere. Will probably not return.
