The street tacos are really good. I also tried their Costa Rican breakfast, it’s the real deal.

Went in around 1800 and it was pretty busy. Ok nothing unusual. Through the kitchen door you could see people in the back having vivid conversations. Took the waiter 10 min to take our order. After 30 min of us initially sitting down people in the back came out and started telling us there was problems with the kitchen. And a lady held the door open and told us get out.Super sketchy . Just wanted some food.

Wow. The food here is EXCELLENT. Wish I'd have taken pictures, but we had the chicharron pupusas and lengua tacos. The pupusas were HUGE and I was full after one (the order comes with two!). The tacos were so flavorful and the lengua super tender. 10/10 Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by for lunch today, horrible.I like just about any Mexican food on the planet, even Taco Bell. This place...blech. I ordered the special of the day, Gorditas with pollo asada. Grabbed a Corona Light and a Sprite.Nobody else in the place, took 25 mins, then it was $10 for the Gorditas and $9 for the beer & Sprite. That's excessive, but I thought " at least the food will be good".Worst Mexican Food I Ever Tried To Eat.Sombreros down the street would have been quicker, cheaper and much better. Or even Taco Bell.

Get the tacos pastor (pork) and an order of empanadas. You will not be disappointed. It looks like the bad reviews are mad because of a language barrier, nothing to do with the quality of the food…

Showed up at noon on Sunday, and who may have appeared to be the cook, was busy having her own lunch. This seemed to be the first sign of things probably not going right. The waitress was nice, but she either didn't speak English or was messing with me because she kept speaking in Spanish after SHE SPOKE IN ENGLISH and asked if I spoke English. ?? (which I made clear English only)I did get flustered by what I entered into. The lunch specials were in Spanish, and there was too much of a language barrier for me to enjoy this spot that other folks give such great ratings to on their reviews.I guess you have to be bi-lingual to deal with the staff here and/or be a Hispanic or Latino. It would not have been worth it for me to be a patron of a place with an unusually displaced customer service vibe, and moreso, not be pleased with the food.Their cold sodas were the only things going well for them.
Absolutely amazing food. The tacos trompo are the best in Alexandria. Truly authentic. Small and intimate interior

Our family loves Los Compadres. We come here about once a month, all the tacos, nachos and burritos we've had are delicious

incorrect name and hours!! they do not open at 8 am on saturdays like the information on yelp says, they don't open till 3pm. pls change the hours to the real times bc i drove all the way here and waisted gas just to have to go to mcdonald's and some lousy breakfast
