I had the pleasure to visit Bellue’s this past week. Food was awesome. We had spare ribs, macaroni and cheese, cornbread dressing with shrimp, corn bread and beans. Very friendly atmosphere. The owner greeted us , gave us some samples and took the time to chat. Highly recommend. I can’t wait to go back in May to try something else!

Don’t let the location fool you this is hands down one of the best restaurants in Baton Rouge. Food is absolutely delicious and the people are friendly and very much appreciate your business. Try the etoufee over cornbread dressing and the fried catfish and boudin. Wonderful!!

An absolute must visit! Everything is delicious. The customer service fells like you at a friend’s home. They welcome you with open arms and will spoil you to death :-)We had the smoked pork chop plate served with rice dressing, cornbread dressing, greens, and sweet potatoes! Amazing flavors and just the portion size ( a lot).The reds beans and rice! They know what they are doing! Macaroni and greens can’t explain just eat and enjoyFried boudin links perfection…. I can talk about all day but I would miss mentioning the peanut pralines aka peanut candy! Melts in you mouth and complimented with a delightful chew almost crunch!Forget what you thought you knew about banana pudding— simple and good it is an experience all to itself!

Such a hidden gem in BR. We must have gone to dozens of restaurants in BR before we hit this spot. Prices are great and portions are large. But the taste is exactly what we were looking for when coming to Baton Rouge.
Stopped here on our way to New Orleans.The friendliest people ever. Our first introduction to cajun food and it will likely never be topped. Thanks for having us!

Absolutely amazing. I’m born and raised in Louisiana and I can confidently say that it was some of the best food I’ve ever ate. The staff was super generous and even gave us samples of some of their items to give us an idea of what to order. Mr Bellue even came out and gave my son a cookie and some yams. We tried the etoufee, deer sausage poboy, fried boudin, white beans and the oatmeal cookies. Absolutely phenomenal. I will gladly make the hour drive to eat here again and the prices are on the cheaper side so it’s good food and cost friendly.

I’m from Texas and we don’t have hospitality like Bellues. From the moment we walked in all of these people including Bellue himself were absolutely amazing. Incredibly friendly and helpful. It was like talking to an old friend. Wish I lived closer to visit more often. The food was outstanding. We had the pork cutlet meal and the fish etoufee meal. So delicious! Thanks Bellue for an awesome experience ?
This guy (Wirt Bellue) has cornered the extra distance quality making his smoked meats, seafood and all things Cajun the best around in BTR. The sides are all made like a close aunt invited you to dinner and it is not uncommon to see several Exxon or close by plant workers picking up goodies. Personally, I think their cornbread dressing is the best I have ever had. I often get the smoked sliced turkey with dressing to put myself in a food coma that rewards me for being alive. Lots of good options. Wowee
