I really liked the environment in this place, it's tucked in on a corner off the highway and gives that cool 'hole in the wall' feel but when you walk in it's very modern and stylish. I had the 'Hot Honey Chicken bao' and I was pleasantly surprised, it's an assortment of textures and flavors but can simply be described as simply delicious. Great food and service ~~I also had a pleasant experience seeing there's also a coffee vendor right inside with a coffee bar, freshly ground and premium coffee.I liked the Americano soo much I ended up getting a cappuccino, cookie, & blueberry muffin for later.. When I drank the coffee and had the snacks I was shocked at how tasty it was!!Side note: I really liked the baristas attitude that served me. Come to find out he owns the coffee business and is a solid guy and family man. Pretty sure his name was Dillon, anyway he knows coffee & how to make it well.Check this place out, one of Baton Rouge's best kept secrets!Chow Yum Phat and Social Coffee for the win

Chow Yum Phat was my favorite stall at White Star. This was my first time back since they moved into their new overpass location on Hollydale. After a couple of disappointing trips to a popular "chain" ramen place here in town I figured it was time to seek them out and see what's up. The location is where the old City Pork was located just adjacent to the original George's under the overpass. Decor is inviting and warm, very casual and rustic. We went for lunch and music seemed loud but seemed less so as the crowd rolled in for lunch. We had ramen (Annie and Oskar) - both simply outstanding. Generously sized, perfectly seasoned and the service was friendly and outstanding. If you are looking for Ramen in BR skip the chains...come to this local gem - you won't be disappointed.

Loved the Asian influence dishes fused with smoky accents. Can't go wrong with the Ronin noodle dish. Always delicious. Salt and Peppa Wangs. And the best dish was the wok fired mussels in a to die for sake broth that needed extra bread to get it all. Quaint dining with superb service. Nice too that the owner stopped at every table to chat with guests. Will definitely visit again.

We just had Chow Yum Phat for the first time- I never knew how much our life was incomplete! This place is off the hook delicious. The flavors are very sophisticated. I love a good slaw, but they ALWAYS disappoint me as ho-hum and lack creativity. The slaw I just had from Chow Yum Phat was, by far, the best slaw I’ve ever feasted on! The flavors included cilantro, fresh green onions, and so much more fresh yumminess! It had the perfect tang, but also a slight hint of heat w

Ah-mazing Viet-Cajun style crawfish. Who knew that seafood had been missing lemongrass all this time? My husband didn't even use a napkin through 4lbs of crawfish because he licked his hands clean...even his palms..and the crawfish themselves. They're that good. Shout out to the kindness and patience of the staff to accommodate my order a week earlier than I placed it (I haven't known what day it is since quarantine started, so my apologies.) These are a top contender for best crawfish in town. Certainly the most unique. Go get some!

Just picked up our online order an hour ago. It was our first time trying the chow crawfish and we LOVED the flavor. Also, it was a huge plus not having to get out of my vehicle.

There's always a good variety of something good being cooked here.

Ramen so good! Very flavorful and smoky. It'll fill you up as well. I always order from them and will continue!

I have eaten several times at White Star Market but this location has many more items on the menu. Waitress told me what type of fish it was; I don't remember the name but I will never forget how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked.
