I had the pleasure of meeting the owner. He was uptight, rude and disrespectful. The cigar is sold me was not to the standard. I wouldn't recommend. The other staff has always been friendly and helpful. But he put a horrible taste in my mouth. Will not return and will never recommend to others.

Very cool place that used to offer quality items at a fair price but in the last few months have decided to start price gouging people on allocated bourbons if you want to pay extra for bourbon I’d suggest joining a local group and pay just secondary not 6 times the price.

Wasn’t very thrilled with Churchill’s. I’m from Chicago, and I moved to Baton Rouge in my mid 20’s. I started smoking cigars at around 22, so about 11 years now. Binny’s in Chicago is always stocked and amazing. In 2015 I discovered Churchill’s and it was a beautiful and well stocked shop/bar. I now reside in Donaldsonville. After moving back to Chicago in 2016, I went back to shopping at Binny’s. Now I reside in Donaldsonville. There are no shops out this way worth checking out, except in Gonzales across the river. I’ve been visiting Don Juan’s since I moved back. Two nights ago, I explored the Cool Nights Hot Art event in mid city, and Don Juan’s was closed for the night by the time we got there. So we meandered over to Churchill’s new location. The interior of the new location is confusing your first time inside, and you need direction to just find the humidor. I’m a person that enjoys minimal communication, so the fact that I walked into Churchill’s and couldn’t even just direct myself to where I needed to go was a little off putting. Then when I did enter the humidor, they had almost absolutely nothing in stock. I’m not sure if this is normal or not since they’ve moved, but being a long drive from Donaldsonville, this shop is checked off of my list for places to visit. I wouldn’t make a drive that long to a shop that isn’t even half stocked. They had multiple rooms and some had no sticks on the shelf, and I was aghast when I saw it seemed my favorite shop in Baton Rouge faltered. It honestly wasn’t even worth a review, but the two Macanudos I picked up smoked wonderfully and I feel the shop does deserve some recognition for how nice the two sticks smoked. If only they had more options available at the time, I would’ve spent quite a bit more money. My input, if you’re making a drive from somewhere a little further away, check out Don Juan. Their hours aren’t the same as what the internet says, but they have an amazing humidor and a lot more to offer than Churchill’s it seems.
Amazing place. Great lounge in the back with a bar and live music. Great bourbon selection. Humidor had a bit of a scarce selection though. Otherwise the place was 10/10
