Visited here last month for the first time in ages & it's still as I remember it. No frills just good people & good, simple food without breaking the bank. I was delighted to see a Crab Burger on the menu so I tried it. It was pretty tasty. The crab patty was fried golden brown & crispy, on a bun dressed with lettuce, tomato, & mayo. The girls had cheeseburgers. And ya can't go to Frostop without getting a chilled mug of root beer. We're gomna have to add them to the rotation.

I know this is supposed to be an older diner but this one was a bit too much. They didn’t even make one of our meals and we had to tell them twice. The kids did not eat their burgers because they were not very good. No soap in the bathroom. One attendant was not very pleasant. We were definitely expected A better experience based on pictures from their website and reviews. Reality was not expectation. Sorry. ?. It was one of those sticky places. Not clean.

So I've heard about their root beer floats multiple times. I came at 10 am. I wasn't expecting to have my stuff right away. The first thing said to me by an older gentleman was, "it's 15 minutes for food." Nothing hospitable. I was like, "okay, I just wanted a float." He proceeds to walk to the back. I wait which is fine. I was just earger for the float. He comes back tells me a price. Which I noticed he never asked what size I wanted (which are different prices). He just charged me. I paid for it. Then he tosses my receipt on the counter and without another word walks off. He tells the lady to make me a float. She tried to but was unable to because the machine wasn't functioning properly. She asks for his help he comes and starts pressing the root beer on the soda machine. At this point I'm balling at how rude he is. I politely ask for my money back and express it was because he is extremely rude. I tell him to have a blessed day. He's in the background saying he didn't say a thing. You're right Sir your actions and lack of words said it all.
Closes at 8pm ? We got here at 7pm? As we are getting out the car a lady comes to the door and says we already cleaned the grill. We are closed. Yall can come back tomorrow. Yeah, we won’t be doing that. Not any day. Thanks.

I remember going here as a child when we came to BR quite some time ago. I've lived here well over 10 years now and have never eaten there.First off we were immediately greater as we walked in. The staff behind the counter could see we were not sure about what to oder, so he and another worker began explaining the menu to us. Long story short we places our order and sat down at one of the many tables to wait on our order. When it did come it was exactly how we ordered it. The hamburger seemed to be homemade. You could actually taste the meat. It was no fast food burger, buy it was just a good Ole burger which is hard to get these days. All around I'd give our service we received a 10 out of 10. Just that alone will bring me back here again. But the burger on the other hand was incredible definitatley deserves a 10 as well. I suggest anyone wanting to step back in time when good service came with food to visit Frostop, where the big mug of rootbeer greets you.
