Best brisket I’ve ever had! Gator bites and frog legs were tender and flavorful and Vaughn is awesome. Runs the business by himself and is super friendly. Great experience, worth the

Phenomenal service and food. Owner was the only one working so we had to wait, but it's not fast food. Best food I have ever had in a restaurant. Definitely worth every penny.

Vaughn is amazing! The crawfish, company, and atmosphere was on point! It wasn’t crowded and the bugs were perfect. It is BYOB…but so worth it. If you are here—- go eat there. You won’t regret it.Vegetarian options: Plenty of fruits and veggies. Also— crab, shrimp, and crawfish. As a catholic, we don’t eat meat on Friday. So, technically, we are vegetarian on Friday. Therefore—- crab, shrimp, and crawfish are vegetarian foods. Eat up lolDietary restrictions: They can cater to you.Parking: Good spot. Lots of park f.Kid-friendliness: They can eatWheelchair accessibility: You can make it.

Fantastic flavor and incredible quality. I go out of my way to hit this place when I’m anywhere near BR. Owner is an expert in his craft and it shows with the food. 10/10.

My family and I stumbled upon this hidden gem on a Sunday afternoon! It's no frills and generous, delicious portions. The owner came and visited with us for a bit- he was very kind! Highlights were the honey fried shrimp and the ribs. Come hungry and enjoy!

AMAZING! I DEFINITELY recommend! I’m going to start with dessert. The banana pudding is the best I’ve EVER had. Shrimp ettoufee is just out of this world! Fried catfish, sautéed cabbage and crab cakes??? I can’t even. It was ALL GOOD! But nothing compares to the owner, Von. He cooked it all from scratch…by his self. This is a one man band that is making MAGIC in the kitchen. He’s kind, friendly, skilled…and clearly great at what he does. I can’t recommend this enough!

To say the food is top tier would be an understatement. When we walked in we immediately noticed the serene atmosphere. The owner of the restaurant Mr. Von took our order with a smile, carefully explaining any questions we had about the menu. While waiting for our food to be prepared we enjoyed a game of ping pong on the table near the front dinning area. When our food game out I was in shock! The food looked and smelled amazing! My plate was generously filled which is a big plus in my book. Have you ever had food that's so good that it makes you want to dance? While eating my food I couldn't keep still, my food was so good! The brisket was so tender that I could have eaten it even if I didn't have teeth. I'm a picky eater so I was surprised at just how perfectly the pasta was cooked. I could say alot more but I think I have said enough. Take a look at the picture I have posted and head over to the absolute BEST restaurant in Baton Rouge!

If you're looking for a Louisiana cultural cuisine then stop at this place for some delicious gumbo! The mac and cheese here is equally good. The owner of this establishment also works the counter and is also the cook! He runs the place single handed and if you get a chance to strike up a conversation with him you'll see that he's a deep thinker, there's nothing shallow about this man.

The owners, the food, and the experience were all simply wonderful! We came with a group of around 15 and they treated our group of students and adults with grace and kindness! The food was spectacular (honestly some of the best brisket I have ever eaten)! You truly get a good portion of food for the price (many of us had leftovers that were reheated and eaten the next day)! I was truly blown away by the personable and hospitable atmosphere! If I am ever in Baton Rouge again, I definitely would go back!!
