Imagine, you walk into Rotolo’s. Atmosphere is decent. You order an appetizer, entrées, and even a dessert. Everything seems grand until you bite into that fresh pepperoni pizza that you’ve been craving, just to get a massive wad of what feels like literal hair in your mouth. Once you spit it out, you realize it’s not hair; it’s plastic. I wish I could attach a photo because it looks like a rubber band got baked. When we asked about it and expressed our concern the general manager, Wade, said that it happens sometimes and that it comes off the casing of pepperonis. “People complain about it but there’s nothing to do about it.” We asked for a remake and we were denied. As a precious store manager of another pizza place, this respond is ridiculous. Interesting to see what the management appears to be like. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with him.

Came for dinner…There were particles floating in my water. Only enough ice for 1 of our drinks, no clean plates, and 2 of the 3 pizzas we ordered were wrong. We didn’t order anything special, straight off the menu. Our kids ate off of napkins.I think I heard the waiters apologize to every table about some mess up, something they were out of, etc.

My boyfriend and I just opened our order after waiting over TWO hours in the parking lot. First of all they left out the fact that a part of our order was no longer available until picking up the rest of the order. In the picture is what is supposed to be a "margarita" pizza. This is the worst pizza I have seen in my life and I waited over two hours for this?!? I would not recommend going here until they hire more professional workers that take their jobs more seriously than just throwing this together horribly.
Boyfriend called in an order for a whole muffuletta on the way home for us to enjoy together around 7pm. I had never ate at Rotolo’s and he was saying it would not only be good but enough. The total was $23.60. I like them and have had a couple in life but he loves them! I grew up in the restaurant business here and know for certain I would never have served what we received and were expecting. It wasn’t anything close to being worth half the $23.00! The pictures speak for themselves but there was nowhere near enough meat, cheese and olive mix to taste over the bread. It was dry and the bread was burnt. We will pay good money if something is worth it but this was worse than the grocery store ready mades! The only upside to the end of the experience is that the manager, Wade, refunded the money which we do appreciate. It was such a let down to get home literally 5 minutes away and be so unsatisfied. Nobody wants to get back out in the cold to fix what should have been good from the start.

My husband and I just left this restaurant at 8:30pm. We got there around 7:00-7:10pm. We come here during LSU Basketball season to eat before the game since it’s close to campus. The past couple of times we’ve came, there is literally barely anyone working it seems like. The food was fine but we waited 20 minutes just for our appetizer to be ordered. Our drinks took 12-15 minutes to get to us. It was not packed either, there were several tables open. The waitress was nice but still. The beer menu was pretty much all out of stock. I’m just confused why there there isn’t menu/bar items stocked or enough staff during basketball season for folks to be able to eat within a decent time frame and still make it to the game. We ordered 1 appetizer, 1 salad, and 1 pizza and we were there for 1.5 hrs. We were late for our game. We almost were just going to leave after our drinks came bc it was taking so long. Again, the food was fine when it finally came but we won’t be going back to eat there because it just takes to long unfortunately.

When my cousin and I were seated there was only 7 customers in the restaurant that included us. After seating us the waitress went to talk to a gentleman at the bar. She finally came back and asked us what we wanted to drink. She brought my cousin water and my drink and then walked away. We waited patiently for her to return. She finally returned with my cousins alcoholic beverage. We asked her if we could add veggies to the pizza she said yes and walked away again, even though we were ready to order. We waited another 10 mins for her to return even though she had made her rounds to every other table being polite but ours. She finally came back took our order and left. They then changed shifts. After a hour and no one returning to our table I asked where our appetizer was. The new waitress went to check. She finally brought our wings out. (Which were pretty decent.) She stated the first waitress did not put it in as an appetizer. My cousin order another drink. She brought the drink but still no Chicago style deep dish pizza. We waited, I finally asked the waitress again where our pizza was, she went to check she came back and said they made a mistake and had to redo the order. We waited again. We finally received our order the crust was burnt and the pizza was nasty. The service was horrible. Both waitresses were more worried about smiling in a man's face at the counter and all the other patrons around us then to give us service. The second waitress was only slightly better than the first. I'm usually a good tipper. Even with the horrible service I still gave a tip.

To say my experience at this restaurant was subpar would do an injustice. Nearly all of the ingredients for the drinks and pizzas were out of stock, the service was OKAY. After requesting different orders because the ingredients were out, we received our food and were greatly disappointed because of the quality. There was only one server and he was in control of the bar and restaurant area and probably cooking the food as well. 0 out of 10
