Well where do I start?Came in on Mothers Day.......NO STEAK for the surf and turf.....Then my wife orders wings but requests only flats aaaaaaaaand guess what, They cant sell just flats on an order!!!!!!! Out the door.Wont return.This location must be just be a bad spot nothing lasts here...though I wish them well our experience was not a good one.

The ONLY reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they were once called Ethel's Snack Shack. Located in walking distance from SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY and A&M College. I ate here all the time as an undergrad. My first time going was when my advisor and some of the other students he looked out for went there for lunch back in 2011. The food is ALWAYS amazing. I'm just still salty about the move because they were apart of SU History. One of my classmate's parents had their first date in undergrad like in the 80s. Anyway, I'm ordering a plate to go now lol! Go and check them out. Good soul food!

Great place to get fresh down home cooking. The atmosphere is wonderful, and service is unsurpassed. This was my first visit and the crawfish étouffée was incredible. Will defiantly be visiting again!

We just had the best meal in a week here in Baton Rouge. We are off the lunch bar, and the food was incredible, I will be back to the Kings palace.

The Food was great! The dine-in experience was EXCEPTIONAL! The seating and serving areas were IMMACULATE! The servers and staff were genuinely polite, attentive and hospitable! Will definitely be back.

I've eaten here a number of times and to be totally honest I've never had a bad experience the food is always good and the service is always great, prices are reasonable. This particular trip I had the fried catfish with candied sweet potatoes and pasta. The only thing I can say about the catfish and the sweet potatoes is both were delicious. Probably some of the best catfish from a restaurant that I've ever eaten. As for the pasta I did find it to be a little saltier than I like. But I just took that home with me and I was able to doctor it up a little and it was absolutely delicious. I must say this again the service here was exceptional.
Ate here for lunch today... and I'm glad I gave this place a try... The nicest and most polite service I've ever had... my eyes over loaded my stomach... I had the smothered steak, rice & gravy, peas and I side of gumbo... everything I ate was delicious... I will bring my family here one day soon.... I know they would love this place! Great job King's Palace!

Food was decent but $11.00 for a lunch plate carry out with no drink is kinda high .wouldn't be so bad if the servings were larger. The place is nice tho. But it wasn't worth the money I won't be going back.
