It was packed when we got there for lunch. We were waited on quickly and had a lovely waitress. Excellent food, also .
Really great fresh food, generous portions but not too much.. the hash browns aren't actually hash browns, but diced potatoes.. the gravy was very tasty .. the service was very good and our server was a friendly but not intrusive young lady.. we also noticed a man doing random cleaning and helping, I'm guessing it was the owner... We will definitely be back in the future...

The food is home cooking. The service is fast and friendly. Free refill on cokes and coffee. They have a different lunch menu every day. The catfish on Friday is from Mississippi, American grown. They have wonderful pie, even peach when in season. 5 star eating venue. You wont be disappointed. Rarely have to wait for a table

Gravy was bland. Ordered hash browns but got very over salted Potatoes I couldn't eat. The breakfast sausage was a hockey puck. The eggs and toast were fine. Friendly service but that doesn't make up for the food.

Let tell you how sweet this was.. my son and I stopped to get some pie... Well they werent open but a few people working were in there about to leave.. I said we just stopped for a piece of pie but we will come another time .. they were so kind and gave us almost a complete pie and it was so yummy! Huge shootout to all these sweet people you made my son's day !!
Walk in, sit anywhere. Just make sure your waitress sees you... I was ignored and it wasn't that busy....The owner noticed me after 10min. I was ignored by the young new colored waitress flirting with the two colored cooks....I've been going here for years because the food is great! Not everyone is meant to be a waitress...it's time she go work at a Burger fast food place before she start waiting tables! Don't sit near the windows...anywhere else but.

EVERYONE BEWARE!!! OWNER - HEATHER - overcharges her customers on a regular basis and pockets the money!!!!! This is fact, as she has done it to us almost every time we have been in there.I politely asked for someone else to check us out at the register and she got extremely defensive and told us not to come back. We love the servers and cooks, so this is very unfortunate.DO NOT RECOMMEND - OWNER IS A THIEF!!!

To start, my waitress was outstanding! I ordered the chicken fried steak, grits and scrambled eggs. When the food arrived, the eggs and grits were cold and the steak was as tough as shoe leather. The crust fell off when I cut into it, so I just gave up… I had been craving the meal and was very disappointed.

My Fiancee and I tried Strawn's for the first time today and we absolutely loved it! Sima was our Server and she was excellent!! The whole staff were very Friendly, Owner is super nice and we will definitely be back and may be our new spot while we're in town. Thank you everyone for making us feel welcome.
