The food is overpriced for what you get. Also, be ready to wait for long periods of time to get waited on, even when they’re dead.

Me and my family just moved around here and we were very unlucky for this place to be the first restaurant we went to.The restaurant stinks, the bathrooms are unbearably unsanitary, and the food is not worth the price. Firstly, the stink either comes from the food, the bathrooms, or both because when I went to use the restroom there was urine all over the floor and some marinated feces in the toilet. Secondly, the gumbo had no flavor, I could’ve easily stayed home and cooked a way better one, and it’s clear that the gumbo isn’t the only bad food they have because the restaurant’s stink was so strong that it had to be from the food too and not just the restrooms. Heavily disappointed and I will not be returning.

Tante Marie offers a good atmosphere and decent food (soggy fries) but that's where it ends. The kitchen takes way too long and the servers are very immature and inattentive. We ordered one appetizer, a salad, and a Cuban sandwich. It took over 40 minutes to get those 3 simple items and our waitress Kyrsten never refilled our drinks or checked to see if we needed anything. Upon receiving the food she told my mother they were out of the vinaigrette salad dressing so she brought her a bottle of straight vinegar. Kyrsten didn't even bother to ask if my mom wanted a different type of dressing. The last straw was the fact that we had to get up from our table to hunt down our server Kyrsten to get our ticket. We were one of 3 tables so the wait was inexcusable. Skip this place and find anything else.

Almost an hour away from home so we don’t make it as often as we would like, but my wife and I love our breakfasts and the live music that comes with it! Whenever we have guests from out of state, Tante Marie is where we take them for a Cajun breakfast experience.

There are aspects to a good dining experience, good service, good food, and a decent price. The service was very slow, and the waitress was inattentive through the entire experience. We ordered gumbo and it took 40 minutes to come out. Also, the gumbo was a cup sized amount, so I was hungry upon leaving the restraunt. The rice for the gumbo was undercooked, and the gumbo was lukewarm. I will pay good money for good food, but 13.99 for a small portion of gumbo is ridiculous. I really had high hopes for this place.

The food was cold, slow service, and prices outrageous for the average items ordered. The catfish and shrimp wasn’t an option so we had to add it. The cost for 3 triangular strips of catfish, 6 shrimp and a side of iceberg lettuce was $30. Nothing else came with it. The le’ sandwich was $12. It came as a spinoff to a Cuban sandwich add pineapple. The pulled pork was hard and taste like beef jerky. There was 1 sliver of pineapple which was supposed to set the rest of the components of the sandwich off. It was soggy, cold and just unappetizing. The small sandwich was barely eaten. The Jolie fries were soggy filled with grease. I understand why they had to stop opening at night, the only exception was the atmosphere was pleasant.

Stopped in for breakfast on a walk around town, the service was great, the food was 1st rate and the price was reasonable. We are planning another trip to Breaux Bridge to spend some more time and listen to some good music in the evening.

This place is great. Had a wonderful breakfast & it's fresh & cooked to order. Homemade biscuits so big & fluffy. Will be coming back anytime I'm in the area. Service is wonderful also.

Been here more than once. The grits and grillards are delicious and so is the egg plant fries. Last time there had the shrimp on pasta. The sauce was a butter garlic cream sauce very good. The seafood is fairly price but a find the non seafood stuff a little too pricey. But it's all delicious.

We have come here many times and loved it but today was not very good. We ordered an omelet with a biscuit, grits and charice sausage. We were asked once if we were ready to order and we weren’t. Then waitress didn’t come back for at least 10 minutes. 4 to 5 waitresses were always hanging out together in the back. The coffee was barely warm as was the biscuit. The sausage was over cooked bits on a saucer. Service and food were both disappointing.

Traveled from Texas, stopped here to eat. Its an old, historic and distinguished building, very cool atmosphere. The food was well prepared and delicious. My kids are somewhat picky eaters, but here they ate it ALL.Great service, great southern hospitality.I wouldve loved to stay on a friday night or saturday to check out their live music. If I go back, Id love to go back for that.

Best shrimp and grits that they’ve put on the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus (because there’s never a bad time for shrimp and grits)! My husband also licked his plate of chicken fried steak and over easy eggs!10/10 for atmosphere, too. I can hear the music AND my husband AT THE SAME TIME! They have solved the mystery of the restaurant universe in doing so.Thank you!
