I ordered a to go lunch order for 4 people and I must say the food was terrible. The steaks were rubbery and taste like they were cooked on a dirty grill. They gave us no silverware and no steak sauce, I had to buy some from the grocery store. The crawfish pies were still cold. The Cordon Bleu had cold unmelted cheese on it and nothing we ordered was seasoned even though there was an option to add extra seasoning. Shrimp were so small they only tasted like batter and I had to pay for tartar sauce. The bacon bits on the potatoes taste like playdoh. There were no cup holders available so I had to carry my 4 drinks out in the rain. Will not be back!

We just moved to Chalmette, & this place has been a gem for us, the burgers are delicious and I love l the options you get to customize your burger! I’m a picky eater and this place is a winner!
It is what it's supposed to be. Everyone was friendly. There are obviously regulars. Everything is bare bones. The burger was OK. I expected a little more for a place 'known for' their burgers. The lighting was dim and reminded me i need to pick up more lightbulbs. There are tv's with the game, or a game, or maybe the news. All in all unremarkable. The bartender sounded like they knew what they were doing. Honestly I don't drink so eh. There are a couple video poker machines towards the back. The highlight of the food was the sweet potatoe fries. The burger was mediocre at best. The service was lovely though.

First time eating here and was not impressed at all. The Brewster burger was gross. I ordered it medium and it came closer to medium rare. It was gummy and gross. The bun although it looked grilled, the black marks, the bun was cold and the bottom was mushy from what I assume was grease from the meat. Their 'dressed' consisted of a 1 inch piece of lettuce, a slice of tomatoe the size of a quarter, 2 pickles, and a few onion slivers. The onion rings were on point. My child's tender basket was proportioned good but the fries were barely warm and the tenders were slightly over cooked. The service was good. The ambiance was ok. There were several TVs to keep customer occupied off they didn't want to socialize with others at the table.
This was absolutely a really delicious steak. Brewsters is one of my favorite go to spots for a inexpensive good steak. The hamburgers are really good also. They have a nice looking bar with lots of televisions so you can relax, have a drink and watch a game.Their signature drink is really good,it reminds me of the drinks at Port of Call.

I actually don't want to give a great review because I don't want everybody knowing about this place. But I'll go ahead. Superb steak! Awesome portions and everything tastes delicious. You can't go wrong with this place.
Our waitress was very attentive to us and our food was good as always. It's a down right shame some woman or women and it has to be woman are tearing up the wallpaper in the ladies bathroom. It was remodel while Covid going on so it's not been that long ago. And of course we love that Brewster's is Smoke Free although we did have to walk thru a gentleman smoking a cigar outside. We will always go here when we get Steak hungry.

Me and my family came in from out of town and seen the great reviews so we decided to stop in. We ordered 4 steak dinners ( 3 well done and one med well) it took over an hour to get out food. We were understanding because we know it takes a while longer. When the food finally arrived the well done t bones (2) were burnt and dry. We asked to have one to be taken off because it was never ate off just cut because my aunty could not eat it. The waitress went to have it taken off but was told by the cook that it was eaten off so we had to pay, we asked if they would make another one and was told no that we can call the manager in the morning because there was not any kind of management on duty tonight. It is unsettling that you can pay 25+ for a steak that is burnt and can't have the option to have it cooked properly a second time. I would not recommend ordering a steak from them... The rest of the items ordered was wonderful.
