I just wanted to say thank you for one of the best experiences I've ever had. Everything about the restaurant and hotel was amazing. I was able to get my wife to eat a steak which she doesn't eat often but she obliterated a baby filet and was about to order another one! Cigar lounge was top notch. I mean the night was perfect. My wife definitely deserved it so thanks again, Much appreciated!!

We've tried making reservations at Mr. Lester's for 2 years now and finally we were able to .The food was exquisite We had a 5 course meal of pure perfection! The service was incredible and the atmosphere was super romantic. As soon as I walked in, they greeted us, gave me a rose and wished us a Happy Valentine's Day. Literally, THE BEST DATE EVERRRR.

My husband and I celebrated our 24th anniversary here. Only thing that we were upset about was that they didn't acknowledge our anniversary like they did the year before.. Also, my husband's wedge salad was an actual half a head of iceberg lettuce...with the core still in it.. he literally had to deconstruct his salad before he could eat it...

Went for New Years Eve. I will call them "cooks" because no way they are "chefs", had a chance to shine, but failed miserably. Horrible food. The waiter was nice. Extremely overpriced.

As a top 10% restaurant reviewers and 15+ year Google contributor, I have never given below a 3 star review. As I know honest reviews are what make Google great. Tonight I wished that zero stars was an option. That's the only reason this place got a 1 star. Because 0 wasn't an option. As we stopped at this place after a long day on the Gulf, where I was observing and documenting a traditional hunt in this area, My brother, his wife, and myself chose Lester's as a place to get a meal. Soon after we entered we were informed that we would not get table and we could make a reservation by calling at 930pm.. We inquired about the empty tables and if we could be seated at the bar. We were denied and told to call at 930. The restaurant closes at 10 pm.I have never made a reservation 30 mins before closing anywhere. I will say that my "Business Casual" I was wearing was a little windblown.. I would have accepted being told that I was not within the dress code. I also wear my hair in a traditional style of my ancestors.. To be lied to about no available tables and to make reservations 30 minutes before closing was an insult to our intelligence and in no way acceptable. My brother and wife, who are local business owners assured me this was not the normal hospitality and treatment around here. I have always attempted to support my fellow tribes' communities and economy on my travels. I advocate for indigenous peoples rights and recognition. This is a large part of why I even found myself at this restaurant. If my windblown Tommy Bahama shirt was too wrinkled for "business casual" , I should have been told that. But I was not.To be blatantly lied to and told to make a reservation 30 mins before closing leaves me to wonder if it was the traditional way I wear my hair or the pigments of my skin that got me denied a meal or a drink. Even though this was a steakhouse, it smelled like ?? chicken. What a rotten way to be treated. I didn't eat any food, but I surely had a bad taste in my mouth.

This was my first time eating at this establishment. I've heard so many good things about it that I just had to try it. Unfortunately, tonight was not such a good night. I must admit that not all the food was bad. The steak was way too fatty and greasey. The lobster tail had an odor and did not look good. On the brighter side, the asparagus, bread, and stuffed mushrooms were very good.

We have dined here numerous times in the past but the last couple times have not been great. This last time our service was horrible. We had a table of 6. Food was good but our server was horrible. Had trouble getting her back over to the table in a timely manner for drinks. Our main course was brought to the table but none of our sides showed up. We asked and she forgot to put them in. This was 6 sides ordered and never received. For the price you pay we were not impressed.

5 stars for ambiance and service. 4 stars for the food. While everything was yummy, my lobster was a little tough, and the sides were a little under seasoned. The prime rib was huge but very fatty. I could eat the BBQ shrimp and grits every day for the rest of my life. Lobster bisque was rich and heavenly. It's definitely a place you have to experience a few times. It's worth it. Never had to ask for anything, we were well taken care of.

Did they get a new Chef? The steaks went home in doggy bag for the dog, couldn't cut it With the steak knife. Sorry to have to say. Have enjoyed 15/years of dinning there, not anymore.
