“My first time here, if you've read other reviews, this is a pretty popular eatery. I had fried chicken, rice and gravy, lima beans, turnip greens and hot water bread and it was all delicious. It was a lot of food for me, the portions were generous, almost more than I could eat but I seemed to manage. They had only one selection for dessert, a carrot nut cake, I believe, with cream cheese icing and it was wonderful. This is a buffet style serve and it moves fairly quickly, they started serving shortly after eleven and I was out the door with two plates by twenty after. A little of a drive for me but I've been wanting to try this out and I was definitely not disappointed, well worth the drive.”

“Employees were great gotta hand it to them I wouldn't have been so nice if I had been treated like they had been . Two customers came in an started demoting mocking and belittling these ladies and they were doing as they were trained . This woman just short of calling these girls stupid and changing the way subway prepares each sub and getting huffy and impatient with them while the customer was on her phone getting someone else's sandwich as well . I'm just glad I had stepped out and my husband witnessed this shameful behavior. Because I'm not one to keep my mouth shut. I'm always there for the underdog.”

“My chicken burger and fries were very good. My husband took the grill Solomon and enjoyed it very much.They cleaned the picnic table outside for us because we had our dog. The manager came to check and recommended options.”

“Thought this was a restaurant not a stand. You have to order from the Gas Station and then go pick up at a little stand right to the gas station. The cashier told us of a Park near by where we could sit and eat the Crawfish. Nice Cashier ??”

“Craving focaccia bread and as luck would have it, all of their sandwiches are served using it. I tried the Cuban and the pasta salad, which were both great. The highlight was probably the pasta salad since I don’t expect much but it had so much flavor, great texture, and was the perfect side for the Cuban.”

“Just had the Hummus toast and Cafe au lait. Thank you, I can tell it wasn't thrown together, each topping was individually placed. Makes it feel like my individual order matters. Each employee I encountered was friendly and made eye contact as they went about their duties. My only down sides were lack of parking & 'need more tables' -it was full ? making it hard to concentrate on my book with all the conversations going on around me. Maybe expansion is in the future.”

“The BBQ food truck gifted from the BBQ Gods. This is where Texas meets Louisiana, and it is magic in your mouth. I can not say enough about this place if you're ever in Ruston, Louisiana, between the hours of 11 AM and 3 PM. You need to treat yourself.”

“I always LOVE Raising Cane's, partly for nostalgia from my Baton Rouge days living in walking distance from the original, and partly because the Sauce!!!!! But I rarely come in to sit down. This time, they were doing a fundraiser for the local high school band, so it was a command appearance. ? Nevertheless, I was impressed that the customer service was just as good inside as it was through the window, and the food just as crazy good and fresh. I love it! ❤️”

“When we went for Christmas there was a live musician playing and it was impossible to hear anything over the music but this time there wasn't one and it was really nice. The pizza is always good. The sauce tastes fresh and tomatoey, the crust tastes good but gets soggy. The service is good even when it's crazy busy.”

“This is one of my favorite places to come to whenever I venture out to Louisiana. I first went in 2019 and came back in 2024. The quality is exactly how I remember it except this time, all of the food was hot on the first time around. You walk in and order at the counter. The staff is quite friendly and always willing to help you. There's also a drive thru however I've never used it. I ordered the two meat plate while my aunt ordered the rib plate. I told the employee which side I wanted and they explained that you serve yourself your own sides. I've never been to a restaurant that allows you to serve yourself your own sides but I am not complaining at all. They must have changed this since the last time I came here because I remember them serving me my sides. It's no big deal as I kindly helped myself to a side of beans and cole slaw. Everything was delicious! My favorite part of my meal were the baked beans. I wish I had that recipe because those beans were full of flavor and love. The sausage was tasty and so was the brisket (albeit it was a bit dry but it was fine with BBQ sauce). The two meat plate was around $12 which is a great deal for the amount of food you get. We sat inside the restaurant to enjoy our meal. Overall, this is one of my favorite BBQ spots and my Californian born self is sad that we don't have Hot Rod close by! I'll be back next time I'm in town.”

“I came once they were closed and pulled up to the window to see the hours and a polite young man opened the window and I asked if they were closing and he said yes but you can be the last customer. I really appreciate these workers going the extra mile so the customers are happy. It really shows compared to fast food in the area!”

“We are on a road trip from Alabama and wanted some cajun food. Our hotel hostess recommended Ponchatoulas for dinner. The boudin balls were amazing, as was the muffuletta. The jambalaya was good as well, we added some more seasoning for extra flavor. Shrimp were tasty! Would recommend!”

“I love this coffee shop. My London Fog is always delicious, the staff is friendly and courteous and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxing and I enjoy sitting on the couch reading and sipping my drink. This place offers an area for groups to meet and has the standard tables as well as the couches and comfy chairs.”
