“We moved away from Louisiana but every single time we visit, a first stop is Billy Ray's in Opelousas. The food is just wonderful, especially all the boudin balls. And the chicken cracklings, and the regular cracklings. It's all good. Billy's should be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Anytime you go, there's people from every walk of life, including cops, thugs, suits, preps, rich folks, poor folks, and many ethnic backgrounds, all waiting patiently, united in love for boudin. The staff is always so gracious with our rambling, one more add-on, long list of delicious food. I love Billy's.“

“We love Toby's brunch buffet. Not a lot of vegetable offerings but delicious food. I'm honestly not eating a lot of vegetables anyway when they're offering seafood dishes and cheesy potatoes, rice and gravy, etc. with all the breakfast offerings as well. I definitely don't leave hungry.“

“Easily one of the better places I've been to for poboys!Where most places do thin sliced roast beef, Kelly's does something almost like chunks, which is so much better than the thin slices from elsewhere. The spicy mayo was phenomenal and a great compliment to the shrimp on the shrimp poboy. We'll absolutely stop back by next time we come through!!“

“Food is very good! We always enjoy the food there. Plate lunches are a bit expensive, we ordered a pork chop plate and it came with onion rings and we wanted to replace the onion ring for mash potatoes and what we got was one pork chop in a empty to go plate with a very small cup with mash potatoes on the side for the same prize as if we would of had the onion rings in the plate and they charged extra for the small cup of mash potatoes. And we asked for gravy and there was no gravy. But we still love their food and their very friendly atmosphere! We still eat there we just don't order the pork chops .“

“The food is pretty damn good. It's what my husband and I eat every Friday. The rice dressing is so good and the Mac n chz oh and the fried pickles. It's all good.Wheelchair accessibility: Door Is Wide enough and there is a ramp from the parking lot.“
“I'd always meant to stop at the little local place on the square, near the Bowie Oak. I'm so glad I finally did. It's tiny and charming, and has the most friendly and helpful owner, Ms. Wanda! Back in Time sort of combines an antique and collectible shop with a cafe! It's cozy and easy to like. It's a great place to stop at if you are passing through as it's right on US Highway 190 West right on the south side of the courthouse square. The menu is something to explore. It has a wide variety of soups, salads, and wraps all of which have interesting names. Some are named after local historic figures, others have names associated with famous persons or movie stars. All of them are tasty and vary from the light to the fully filling. The salad offerings also go from the small to the whole meal variety. This is one of those great little home town places that one just has to experience to understand. You'll find yourself stopping there next time you pass through.“

“The boiled shrimp dinner was great. A little on the spicy side for me but I still enjoyed it and would order it again. Our server was perfect. Our food came out quick and accurate. Our drinks never ran dry and she checked in on us several times. Her quality customer service was appreciated. The atmosphere of the bar was what I expected. The table was clean. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. I would eat here again.“
