With family that grew up in the area who doesn't know about Grayson's BBQ. All their BBQ and sides are delicious, including their homemade brownies. I especially love the chopped sandwiches. I give that 5 stars. For years we have been purchasing their Christmas hams, even after we moved away. About 4 or 5 years ago something was different about the hams. Too salty, not as tender, something changed and for the last couple of years we pass on the hams. That's why the 4 stars. But the in-house food is great.

Had heard this was legendary BBQ, so I tried it about a year ago. My husband and I were not impressed then, but today we decided to give them another try. We opted for a pork and sliced beef sandwich. They were both horrible. The sliced beef, which I assumed would be smoked brisket, tasted and looked like it was boiled. No smoke flavor, very mushy and bland. The "pulled" pork was just hunks of pork that also was mushy like it had been boiled. No flavor, would not recommend. Will not go back.

It's a local institution and worth a stop if you're passing through.First time visitors often order plates, but the real gems are the sandwiches (always pay the extra few cents for the homemade bun). They're known for the chipped beef, which is always my top recommendation. But, I actually prefer the sliced ham sandwich. Their ham is excellent and it's served with a light slather of sweet BBQ sauce. Though, to be honest, I usually get both sandwiches when I stop in.Service is typically lightning fast. You can seat yourself in the dining room or at the counter or you can order at the counter for takeout. I'm not sure if you can call ahead, but there would be no need to short of an unusually large order.Vegetarian options: No veggie entrees.Kid-friendliness: High chairs availableWheelchair accessibility: Accessible

Absolutely incredible BBQ!!!! The ribs are the most delicious and delicate I’ve every had and the Chip Sandwich was excellent. Definitely get the potato salad - it’s so creamy and a bit of tang from the pickles. The sausage is yummy too. I really think anything you get you’ll love! Highly recommend. We sat outside on the picnic table because the weather was perfect - 80 degrees with a nice breeze.
We are from AZ traveling with our 103 mother stopped in for lunch wow it was amazing the owner gave us a hat we bought a whole pie and 1lb of meat to go
Always stop there when we are close enough. Many times I have bought several pounds of the smoked meat to take home. We especially like the brisket and the ribs. It can be used so many ways.

Place was not like it used to be. Went in at lunch time. Place was dingy and rundown. Ladies making food were sullen. Pork sandwich was mushy and tasteless no seasoning on overcooked meat. Lady taking money was very kind and outgoing. Ham was good though some was a little tough.
