From the attentive and professional service, the delicious Chardonnay, the delectable pear Gorgonzola salad, the homemade pasta with spicy sausage, the perfectly seasoned Lemonfish entree to the warm apple tart with caramel gelato... everything was perfect. We can't wait to return.
We've been here several times over the last 8 years.The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and looks very clean. Our server was really sweet. Their complimentary focaccia with olive oil and balsamic vinegar is delicious. We had the Carpaccio for appetizer and it was perfect. Next time I want to try the chicken liver patê. I ordered a New York strip medium rare and it came just right. Since we were celebrating a birthday they offered a complimentary birthday dessert (it was a cannoli with vanilla ice cream) and I think that's really thoughtful. Overall it was a great experience and I do hope to visit again soon.

My wife and I went to Del Porto for dinner. We stuck to seafood -- Tuna Cruedo for a starter and entrees of a shrimp and pasta for her and the scallop special for me. All of the dishes were excellent. Service was very attentive and friendly. We received good advice on picking an Italian white wine to have with the dinner. And both the gelatos and sorbets were a great way to finish up. Overall, a very relaxing and delightful evening.

Even during holidays this place performs Great! Excellent food and service! Del Porto provides their entire menu instead of a set menu on Holidays like New Years Eve and Valentines Day!

Great place for little town of Covington I am so enjoyed the restaurant..I had seafood soup which is they served giant big calms very tasty ? very friendly staff.

We enjoyed our experience at del Porto ! Drinks excellent and wine very good! My wife loved the duck pasta she called lasagna! Best thing she has had in a long ! My Caesar salad ! Was very fresh and very good! Fish ok for me! Other couple had fish that they loved and short ribs that were fantastic! Gelato very good also!

Everything was excellent. The restaurant is noisy, must be the acoustics. Table split Fritte Mittes appetizer. Big enough for 4. Had the pear salad. Tuna special. It was delish. Every bite. Thank you for excellent food and service.
Unfortunately right off the bat the waitress seemed disinterested in serving us when we chose not to order alcohol. The goat cheese peppers were very good. We got the bolognese pasta and the pasta was chewy and over cooked. The red sauce was like water. If you want to charge 5 star prices, then serve 5 star food. This was the 2nd chance that we gave this establishment. We will not be back

This is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant, it is anything but. The setting was nice but people were way under-dressed . It was way too noisy, people talking at the top of their lungs and carrying on like it was a pool hall. We could hardly speak to each other in a normal voice. Our server was very good, explained the menu well and was attentive to our needs. We won't return.
I invited my dear friends for lunch. This is. the first time I went to this restaurant as I live in Kenner and it's not close to me, but I'm very glad I selected this restaurant. The food was excellent as well as the service. My dear friends an elderly couple in their late 80's early 90's truly enjoyed it. I'm happy I went and planing to go back, I hope it will be soon.

Everything was wonderful! Yummy pate', and the seafood brodo was especially delicious. I requested some pasta to be added so as to best enjoy the delicious broth and so glad I did. It was so very good. The desserts were also enjoyed by all . My special favorite chocolate pot du crème did not disappoint. Of course the service and management are also impeccable. We requested a special table and it was no problem and the waitstaff a delight. And this is why we keep coming back!

Our food choices were across the board including chioppino, chicken, duck lasgna & the pork chop. All good except the chioppino. Clams were tough & chewy. All enjoyed the NYE dinner.
This was good but not as good as tchefunctes. The prices are comparable but portion sizes are much smaller at del Porto. In addition I feel like tchefunctes flavor is more unique and more of a bang for your buck. Service is equally outstanding at both.
