“TOP restaurant in all Louisiana. Texas should be jealous and Alabama's desperate to have their recipes . Of course we are the lucky ones to be living close by and enjoying the sushi at AKI, is just delightful. WE can not explain how delicate and tender the fish that the chef selects every morning is. He is proud to serve the top of the line fish in the market. we have never been disappointed at this amazing establishment. The wait every evening is a testament to this fact.“

“Snow crab bowl was very good and my son enjoyed it alot. My daughter also enjoyed her Crunchy Roll and Snow Crab Roll but complained a little bit of the rolls being so big. We might request to cut thin smaller pieces for her next time. I like sour and spicy, so OCEAN Salad meet beyond expectation. We got Mandeville Roll, Rainbow Roll, Snow Crab Roll and Crunchy Roll. Mandeville Roll, Snow Crab Roll, and Crunchy Roll were big sized portions. My wife got Beef teriyaki dinner which includes fried rice or white rice and salad. The salad's dressing made with ginger and others and it was very good. We also got Cheese cake tempura which was very savory and vanilla ice cream was also not disappointed. We went there on Friday, it was very busy and also very noisy but we got all our orders under 15 minutes. It was so fast and we were very pleased. Everything is delicious and all the staffs are very friendly. Definitely recommend this restaurant!“

“My husband and I went here for my Birthday, we had never been before and weren't sure what to expect. Upon entering the building it seemed nice, clean, well lit, but mostly empty, of both patrons and staff. It was a random Thursday evening, they probably get more weekend business. A casually dressed woman who was bringing a To-go order to the front saw us and asked if we were there for dining or pick up and showed us to a table. Once there the waiter got our drink orders and took our order once we'd browsed the menu. I ordered the Crazy Dog sushi roll, and it was delicious, if a little large for my mouth. We were also served clear soup and the typical salad. The soup was tasty, I know from past experience I don't like the salad with ginger dressing so my husband ate mine and his, he had no complaints.Once the Hibachi chef arrived the show began, he did all the typical stuff, egg in the hat, big fire, volcano made of onion, it's fun to watch. The fried rice was made first and was delicious, then the veggies went on and we're dressed and tossed and then moved to the side to cook slowly while everything else was made. The noodles were sauced and tossed, and then the meats were cooked. I didn't care for the noodles, but my husband liked them, next time I'll just sub more rice. We had ordered the chicken and steak. They were both good, but I preferred the chicken, it was perfectly cooked and had a delicious sauce on it. The steak was just seared and had little flavor. The veggies were served last and were so yummy! The zucchini bites were my fave as the broccoli was still a bit underdone and crunchy. The pics attached are what I brought home, I had eaten a whole meals worth of food already and that was what I had leftover!Overall a nice restaurant with good food. The portions are massive so you'll definitely have leftovers to take home. The staff was friendly and attentive, and it was a positive experience!Vegetarian options: I did see several veggie only dishes on their menu, as well as alot of seafood dishes, if being Pescatarian is your thing.Dietary restrictions: There was a person at our Hibachi table who said they were allergic to eggs. Upon discovering this the staff made the dish options ordered separately in the kitchen for them.Parking: This restaurant shares the parking lot with an old and run down looking Best Western hotel; it is not well maintained, and is behind the restaurant. Expect to have to dodge puddles in the gravel/cement as you walk in, and definitely lock your car!“

“Yes, it's expensive but it's hibachi and you are you paying for a cooking performance. Went on a Wednesday night with a party of four and waited about 10 minutes for a cooker to arrive at the table. He verified our order and kept us entertained the entire time with side jokes. The food as always very flavorful, cooked as requested, and well proportioned. We ordered two entrées and a sushi appetizer to split amongst the four. You also have to pay for additional Rice plates if splitting an entree. It was plenty of food and even left with leftovers. There is an automatic gratuity of 15% along with the service charge if you use a credit card. So yes pricey but you will not leave hungry.“
