Arrived in Covington LA, while camping after exploring the cajun area, went looking for another Boil. Found this gem on Google. Hubby and I stopped in a little confused gal at register gave us 2 cups and menus suggested we review menus and return to register when ready to order. while trying to decipher the what some items were. a very kind gentleman stopped by table inquired if we needed anything and made some suggestions, got our drinks even though normally self serve, took our order. hubby ended choosing alligater sausage pasta(swamp pasta) I reddish with crawfish cream sauce. Yum on both dishes.Deffinately commItted to return we're salivating on a boil, and they have a platter we want to try. privately owned our nice gentleman was the owner. thank you fr Iowa wished we had you in Des Moines

My daughter wanted Gumbo and I decided on this spot because I didn't want to drive far. OMG!!!!! Why haven't y'all tell me about this sooner! We started with the Spinach Dip with a mound of lump crab meat and served with fried pita chips (Perfection) After 1 bite my daughter has deemed this her new favorite restaurant ?! My entree was Fried Catfish and Shrimp & Corn Bisque Oohh la la! My daughter had a Seafood boil with a generous portion. Of Snow ? crabs, shrimp?, sausage, eggs, ? corn, and potatoes! This has been the best meal I've had on the Northshore in a lonnnnnng time including those cooked in my own kitchen! Food 10/10! Wait staff 10/10! I'm in love!

Got the shrimp poboy once. Very mid. I got the crawfish etoufee this time to try again it was SO bland. Even non seafood restaurants usually do good with crawfish etoufee so I’m not sure how this was so bland. The lady at the front also had an attitude with another customer who was clearly not from here and was trying gumbo for the first time.. and he was SO kind it made me so sad for him.

OMG .....just realized why ratings are so high. People who eat here are from towns that do not have local seafood. Don't do it.

Terrible, the boiled seafood was very disappointing, especially paying $70 for lunch. My guess it was several days old, not recently boiled.

This place is a little hard to spot. Look for the road sign beside the road. The fish, shrimp, oysters, and chicken tenders are really tasty. There are examples of platters at the cash register. Don't eat this and don't think the staff has neglected the customers. Customer service is fast and friendly. The food is outstanding.

Really great food - we both got the Bayou Redfish entree and it was excellent!! Portions were more than plentiful, fish was fresh and done just right, and the amount of spice in the cajun cream sauce was just right!! Our server was excellent also - good sense of humor and we didn't have to wait for anything. Atmosphere was nothing fancy, but nice and clean. Definitely would come back and highly recommend!

Ordered a fried shrimp poboy. Worst poboy ever. They are frying in either old oil or cheap oil or both. It left a filthy film in my mouth. You just can't do this in this area and get away with it...for long. In this type gulf area, too many other choices that are stellar and follow the basics like, let's see, fresh quality clean oil...hello? Get it together folks or you'll go the way of Jim's Chicken Town.

Pros:Great food, great service. Rarely ever crowded, so there's always a table available.Con:Only con I can think of is that they don't offer table service. You're required to order at the counter and take a number. Could be improved.UPDATE: Dinner is now served table service.
