Excellent late lunch date, would love to have done dinner as originally planned but Hurricane Ida put some roadblocks there. Excellent service and food despite the limited staffing due to the hurricane.

Horrible experience attempting to get a drink at the bar. Did not have reservations, but our party was instructed by the hostess to grab the two open stools at the bar. The young bartender, wearing a bow tie, refused to acknowledge us at all. After 15 minutes of no acknowledgement, I asked if my party might get a drink. He made an unintelligible sound. We waited another 15 minutes, he said people that had reservations take priority. He let us sit for 25 minutes until he said he'd never be able to get to our drinks because of the reservations policy. So bad....probably not the bartenders fault, but that's terrible to keep people there for so long and tell them that. Wtf ??!! Fix this guys....your too good of a Restaurant

Everything we ordered was delicious and Matthew was a wonderful server. He checked on us often.

Sunday brunch. Wanted to do one last brunch before they closed. Very energetic vibe along with two musicians. Brunch was ok. We shared tuna tartare, the crab cake benedict & the frittata. Good drinks from the bar.
Out of first choice of wine. 2nd one was great but price charged was $20 more than on the wine menu. It was the Malbec. The rabbit was fabulous but the flounder was dry and pecans tasted stale.

excellent but chevalier chardonnay at $13 a glass a bit on the pricey side unless it was say a 2017 which I doubt- Wont stop me visiting but MAY stop me drinking which not what you want. Interested to see you alcohol/food ratio.

Always a great experience at Ox Lot 9. They, truly, have the only "New Orleans Style" Jazz Brunch on the Northshore! We're SO sad that they will be leaving this location soon.

Oxlot is one of those restaurants that is always consistent by way of quality and service. The lobster and avocado toast was new to the menu and so tasty. Small plates is definitely the way to go so you can savor more than one plate.
We were celebrating our anniversary, so we were super excited for a big night out and Oxlot 9 hit it out of the park. We ordered two appetizers, two small plates, one large plate, and one dessert and they were all outstanding. The attention to detail on every dish was so evident. We can't wait to go back soon!!!

So. Loud. I can't even begin to tell how bad the acoustics are in this building. I felt like I was screaming the entire meal. Food was meh for the price. Service was so-so. Nothing really to brag about.

Ox Lot 9 has been clearly impacted by staff shortages. We had a 12:30 reservation & got seated within 8-10 minutes. We then were left waiting until 1:10 to get a drink. To the best of my assessment there was 1 waiter, 1 busboy, and the manager on the floor. Other than the kitchen staff, that was the only people working which significantly impacted how well they could serve the floor. The food was delicious and I felt bad for the employees who were doing the best that they could.
Jean Pierre is incredibly talented and cooked an outstanding meal for myself and a friend. The crab cake is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! everything is truly delicious and hands down best restaurant on the north shore!

Wonderful restaurant in downtown Covington that is moving from current location without any apparent plans for new location. The food is just wonderful, menu changes and there is always something new to try. Staff is wonderful, well informed about menu. Its all concrete, tile, stone so it is noisy! Wine list a bit pricey. Overall this just a fabulous, wonderful, outstanding restaurant where we have never had any negative experience. They MUST reopen somewhere in Covington!
