Have been here twice.. Both on slow nights. Drinks were top flight..Food was amazing..Server was helpful and friendly.. Chef/owner was busy but came by to say hi. Everything was clean and people who were there were happy and having a good time.. We are actually local now, so this place is at the top of our list when we want Mexican food.. Cant wait to go back..

I have always enjoyed this Mexican restaurant. It is high quality Mexican food so I was very disappointed when I drove by this evening and it was dark... no lights on a Friday night, definitely not a good sign, so sad because they made the best margaritas. They had a variety of flavors and were willing to make any kind you wanted!

The food is spectacular and the wait staff work their butts off over all we will be back to to try more of the menu. The Duck Taquitos are amazing a must try .

Drinks and service were great. Food was overpriced and subpar.

Highly disappointed. I didn't eat my enchilada dinner. Over priced. Side items cold.

Went to Pepe's last night after walking by one evening recently and noticing it. I guessed we passed it by when searching on Yelp for a Mexican restaurant on the northshore. After living in San Antonio for the last 14 years and finally moving back home to Covington, we were on the hunt for some good authentic Mexican cuisine (as in NOT cheap Tex-Mex.) I can honestly say that we were very impressed with the dining experience. The food was very flavorful and the menu items were very creative. My wife had the shrimp Rellenos entree which was fresh and tasty. I had the taco board and thoroughly enjoyed the adobo rubbed chicken and the fish tacos. We had the ceviche as an appetizer, which while very tasty, was a bit light on the serving portion and did not come with the fried plantains as described on the menu. It looks like the menu changes regularly, and we are excited to return and try new items. Cocktails were very reasonably priced and Samantha, our waitress, was terrific. They have a really nice outdoor dining area hidden in the back of the restaurant, and we are looking forward to dining out there once the weather permits.

Ordered a dish that was supposed to be a chicken breast . It ended up being a chicken thigh and after having a few bites it was raw . I asked bartender, he agreed raw and it was a thigh . He offered to remake it . It came back out , cooked but it was what was left over from the original plate . They didn't charge me for it and my wife's quesadilla was good . But I can't get past raw chicken thigh and trying to pawn off the thigh as a breast.

I wish I could give it zero stars. Tried to have dinner there Saturday night with a large party. Waitress seemed very aggravated with the size of our party. When the manager was approached so that we could pay our bill and move on to another restaurant he immediately began cursing at us. Once we made our way out and on to the sidewalk he decided to basically stand at the door and literally challenge members of our party to fight with him. Absolutely the most unprofessional experience that I've ever had in a restaurant.

The manager cost this place at least $1500 in revenue and his wait staff a massive tip due to his ineptness. Large parties can make slow nights profitable, unfortunately this guy hasn't learned that yet. Found another restaurant close by that welcomed us...

GARBAGE. Rude, undisciplined staff. Doorman/manager literally tried to start a fight with customers who were leaving due to poor service. Please let me quote the manager as we were trying to leave. "You are gonna say please and motherfucking thank you" after we had simply asked for the check so we could leave. That manager continued to harass our whole party including the women, as we left the restaurant. Oh, and with the extended wait for service you get charged FOUR dollars for a refill on a small cup of salsa. Exec chef refused to deal with problem. UPDATE - Now apparently someone from this restaurant is complaining to yelp about my review. I have saved all of the private messages from management regarding this incident. It seems as if they will even resort to alleging reviews are false to yelp. I have responded to yelp that if they need to verify the events described in this review, I will be glad to provide names and phone numbers of the 20+ witnesses to this.

The street Tacos and queso are amazing! I had the watermelon jalapeno margaritas which was also so refreshing and delicious! Go to place! People are cool too!
