Bad customer service was sitting down 10 minutes be asking to get serviced. Food was ok but could had McDonald's and would been better. place is not being up kept at all bathrooms where dirty. I hope it could be turned around or sold off to become a better place.

Me and my youth group just went. The AC was dripping down on our table, everything was sticky (chairs, tables floor) even after they were wiped. One of the people got bit by an ant, the floors in the bathroom were nasty and there was NO soap. The paper towels were on the nasty, wet counter instead of a dispenser. The food wasn't too good, it was bland. There was something CRUNCHY in my milkshake, it wasn't cold so I don't think it was a piece of ice. The faucet in the bathroom was loose and wasn't nice. Some of the roof looks like it was about to fall. A lightbulb was broke and they just put a burger wrapper and doordash stickers on it

Rude and ghetto. Food was sloppy and the staff was rude. I ordered the Frisco melt and it was sloppy. The bread and meat was falling apart. I wouldn't have fed a dog that sandwhich. I went inside and asked if I could get something else because I didn't even want to risk getting the same sandwhich again. I was told no and then asked what was wrong. I told the lady that it was sloppy and soggy. She then walked over to the girl on the grill, showed her the sandwich and asked if she sent it out like that. She responded with "absolutely not", then stared me down like I did her something. Then preceded to tell everybody on the floor. Everyone had to come see who was "complaining" about sloppy food. They remade the sandwich, but I will still be calling corporate because the attitude was not necessary.

The workers at steak and shake in Covington la need a raise!!!!!!!! There is only 6 maybe 7 people that work there. And 2 workers at night that bust their butts to get the orders out in a timely manner. They all deserve at least $13 dollars and hour.

Everything was VERY oily, as evidenced by every paper product from bag to napkin looking like I checked the dip-stick with them. We ordered 3 different soft drinks, each lacked carbonation! I will not go back.

I LOVE S&S, but this location was subpar at best. The doors were locked and the drive-thru people weren't in a hurry. Get to the window and see a little kid (maybe 5 to 8 yrs old) behind the counter doing things. I don't know what my patties were, but they definitely weren't Frisco burger patties.

Service and server were great. Bacon steakburger had a single small strip of bacon. AC was not keeping up with the heat. Men's bathroom was not at all clean.
Haven’t been here since way before Covid. Still met the expectations and hit the spot. All the workers here are trying there best and running everything. Nothing but women running this place, they should be proud!

We haven't been to a Steak 'n Shake since the Covid lock downs. This was the place for us to stop while traveling to and from the beaches. We always looked forward to stopping.This time was a major let down. The building is run down, leaking roof in several places. Buckets to catch the leaks. Ladies bathroom had a faucet issue. Men's bathroom had no paper towel dispenser, just holes in the wall where it once was.Only a few tables available for us to sit in a mostly empty building. Food came out quick and the server was nice. Food quality wasn't up to par and not what we were expecting from past experiences. This location needs an overhaul.

I'm used to the long line and if you're a regular you should be too. My only complaint is this establishment really needs to fix the potholes at the entrance. It's a little ridiculous that it hasn't been fixed yet.Otherwise, the food and service is great! Love Dakota at the window, always so sweet.

Just purchased a number 7 as a single and a number 10 with two vanilla shakes for $17.49 cents. Worker comes to the window and bring vanilla shakes before bringing food. With nothing but brown stains on the rim of the cup and outside of the cup. When I asked her what that is she said it was from the rubber. I don’t know what rubber she was talking about. So I asked if they could make me another shake as another worker comes to try and clean the outside of the dirty cups. So I proceeded to tell them no, I wanted new shakes made. So here comes I would assume the manager, he tells me they cannot make no shakes but they can clean the outside of the cup and give me a new top. So I tell him no if you gonna give me a dirty cup, who knows what you were gonna do to my food. So I tell him to give me a refund of my $17.49 cents. #willneverreturn

Totally PATHETIC. Until tonight, I never thought I'd write a Bad Review on Steak 'n Shake, but this place is a Total Ripoff. Ordered the Double Classic Cheeseburger with 2 STRAWBERRY SHAKES. Paid Their Overprice Tonight but NEVER AGAIN. Both Shakes were handed to me in TWO PARTIALLY FULL SMALL COFFEE CUPS. I Will NEVER Recommend This Place. $14 for Nothing.
