We had a wonderful breakfast as Turgeau’s! I was able to order what fit my dietary needs, with care from the staff, and my husband got a delicious Cajun breakfast burrito, all for a reasonable price. It was the best of both worlds and we will definitely be back.

I'm so happy we stumbled upon this little gem! They are very allergy friendly, while still providing some of the best traditional plates. Fun art, amazing customer service and the food *Chefs kiss* I wish Yelp would let me upload all the photos.

We stopped in after biking the Tammany Trace from Slidell, and we had a perfect post-ride lunch. This was my first visit to Louisiana and I had some questions about the food options. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and I got to try some yummy new foods (gumbo, king cake). My husband loved his blackened shrimp po' boy and I loved the avocado/turkey sandwich and the soup of the day. Everything was fresh and appetizing and delicious. Highly recommended!

Turgeau's is located in downtown Covington. It's small. It was cold. There's paintings on the wall....the theme was all over the place. The interesting part about the place there was coffee bean bags on the ceiling. The service was good. The my dish was decent (shrimp & grits). My friend had the Turkey melt which he really loved!

Very impressed! We ordered the breakfast waffle with sausage and a half muffuletta with a side of the Gumbo-laya.The waffle was completely crisp on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The honey butter was the star of the dish, very smooth, creamy, and delicious! Sausage was good quality and tasty. The muffuletta was up there with some of the best I have had. Bread crisped to perfection, not too greasy, and a great olive mix that wasn’t over the top. The gumbo-laya was solid, but didn’t leave an impression on me like the others.Overall, I think you would be hard pressed to beat the quality at this price point. I also really appreciated the variety of healthier options that were available when compared to your typical southern restaurant. Probably our new go-to brunch spot when visiting the Covington area.

Food is okay. Service is lacking. The restaurant is dirty. It takes forever to get menus and even longer for drinks and food. Waitress didn't seem to know much about the menu. I was brought water in a glass that had a lipstick mouth print on the rim of the glass.

What is this about 9 dollars for the saddest piece of avocado toast i have ever seen in my life, the turkey melt tasted like mush and the gumbo was okay but barely any flavor I don't usually leave bad reviews anywhere but i'm pretty dissatisfied.

Been here at-least time and every time is exceptional!! Breakfast gumbo and grits is a personal fave!
