I'm so sad to write this review because Papi's has been our favorite Mexican restaurant for so many years now. But apparently Henry had a lot to do with that because since the day he left it has been in a slow downward spiral. After he left the quality in service was the first thing to decline but eventually the food started to also change. Even down to the salsa. They used to have my favorite salsa out of all Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten at. Even when their food started to go downhill we still went just so I could get my chips & salsa fix. But the last time we went even the salsa has now changed & had no flavor at all. I ordered the same fajita I have ordered since my first visit. Combination chicken & beef pablano fajitas. Everything we ate including the chips & salsa were missing the most basic of things. SALT. Seriously just add a little salt to everything. Needless to say we are now in search for a New Mexican restaurant to frequent. And again, this really makes me so sad. Not only has Papis been a great place to eat & enjoy in the past but they have also been a great impact in our community. We enjoyed supporting them but will not be back unless they can get back on track with their flavors. I don't even care that much about service if the food taste good. Oh and as far as ambiance, it's great & these days there is plenty of room to spread out & sit because they are very seldom busy. I am not saying any of this to be ugly. My hope is that whoever now manages Papis will see this and try to get back on track before they end up going under. Nobody wants to see them fail. We just want our old Papi's back.

Ambiance was nice but that ended there. We had an unexperienced waitress that couldn't handle a big table. Everything was messed up, the food was all out at different times, I got my first item cold and the oft tortilla rock hard and 20 min later finally got the other 2 tacos which again, cold and hard. Won't be back as this was their second chance.

We came tonight and they had Bingo (Thursdays). We had chips, salsa, queso, fajitas, taquitos, taco salad, enchiladas and a few other things - fantastic food and atmosphere. We would have loved a dessert, but it was so much food.Love the Wall of Hope!!!
Cute place but very slow to get anything done. We were waiting for change for at least 5 minutes. About the food, idk, everything was unnecessarily spicy. For example, the rice was spicy. The chips were spicy. These things don't need to be spicy! I couldn't even get my child to eat these parts, which are normally the only things she'll eat from Tex-Mex. Oh, well.

Good food and service. We enjoy coming here. Owner is fun and always makes us (hubby and Me) feel welcome. They have Bingo at 6:30 on Thursdays.
Went in tonight for a chilie relano no ranchero sauce and two tacos only one taco was right this is the third time i show up when im quoted to and my food is as cold as if it came out of the refrigerator this is beyond
