Wow! Several in my group had the pulled pork sandwich. It was awesome! The buns were buttered and toasted. The pork was falling-apart good and a bit crispy on the outsides of the meat. The BBQ sauce was sweet and spicy. The fried pickles were great! Fried with cornmeal and maybe a bit of cayenne pepper, they were briny and spicy at the same time. Sliced brisket sandwich was really good. Fried okra was great but we didn't get enough of it. (Our only complaint.) We loved this place!

Really good food! Quick service! Nice atmosphere. Music was a little too loud tonight.

Bought lunch for 3 of my employees/family.Service was good. Only one other table was seated. Diet Coke was PERFECT as was the toast! Greens were ok, but lots of stems, potato salad might have been store bought, pulled pork was half fat and under spiced, brisket was WAY oversalted and half fat or just dry. Only time we've ever just left food without taking home the leftovers. My employees/family have requested that I don't provide food from here in the future... the birthday girl that requested eating here, was apologizing because she chose the restaurant!

They were so crowded that they stopped taking orders. The staff was extremely overwhelmed for Father day crowd. The food is delicious but my brisket was so tough I couldn't eat it. Best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. Fried pickles are awesome.

I just stopped to order some brisket lo go. I wanted to order 3/4 of a pound of brisket and was told that I had to order it by the pound which made no sense. So we can only order in increments of 1 pound only? I just left without getting anything. I was already annoyed by the unfriendly attitude of the man at the counter when I walked in and I wanted to get the hell out of there. Don’t order the plate lunches because they have been very stingy with the meat portions when I have ordered them in the past. My suggestion is to go anywhere but this place.I will never go here again; I’m tired of their unfriendly attitude and stingy portions. I am a Trip Advisor critic and will post my review there next.

Looking for traditional BBQ, we stopped at Smokin Aces in Denham Springs. The pulled pork was moist and tender, and the BBQ sauce added just the right blend of sweet and tangy. The smoked chicken was tender and very full-flavored. They do run out of certain items later in the evening, which I took as a sign of attention to quality. A variety of side dishes help balance a great dinner.

Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a long and leisurely dinner with delicious and refreshing cocktails, Smokin Aces should be at the top of your list. The pulled pork and brisket are both melt in your mouth delicious- tender and perfectly prepared. Don't miss the perfectly seasoned boudin balls. They also have an excellent assortment of thirst quenching and tasty cocktails. Loved the Cool as a Cucumber. On top of all that, staff was fast and super friendly.

Today was our first time here!! We got a little bit of everything! It was all excellent! The fried okra was so good!! I could tell it was fresh okra, not frozen. Quality of food was great! Will come again and definitely recommend it.

The food was great. Nothing but bones left on my plate. Very clean and comfortable surrounding. I guess I assumed it was table service. It is not. A little disappointing. I would have given 5 stars if it were. This was my first time eating there. Definitely recommend this place. Although I was surprised how not busy it was for a Saturday evening. I had anticipated a possible wait going by the reviews.

On the recommendation of my niece and family, my sister and I ate at Smokin' Aces for lunch today. I was really pleased with the quality of my BBQ pork sandwich and potato salad. Would have liked a pickle with it all! But it was incredibly delicious. In addition, the restaurant and restrooms were very clean, everything was very well organized for a serve-yourself and everyone was helpful and nice. Will definitely return very soon.

We have been waiting to give this place a try. I really wanted it to be good because it's close and we love BBQ! Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. We went Friday, February 4th at 6:00 pm. We were immediately told that they were out of chicken. Bummer, we wanted chicken. No big deal, we can get something else. So we ordered a full rack of ribs, nope, didn't have that either, they only had 1/2 rack remaining. Okay, those brisket nachos sound amazing! Nope, also out of chips for those. We finally found some things they had. We sat in the dining room where the temperature was about 50 to 55 degrees, very cold and uncomfortable. When the food came out, it too was all cold to luke warm at best. The brisket plate I got did have good flavor, and the Mac and cheese was good, but it was still all cold. The brisket was served on a piece of paper on a tray, so I was also eating soggy paper with my meat. The half rack of ribs they had that we got, was tough and chewy. We paid just over 60 bucks for 2 adults and a child, which is reasonable for a decent experience, but this wasn't. Not sure if we will try them again or not. If you are empty and out of your staple menu items at 6pm on a Friday, it's not a good sign.

We have been wanting to try out Smokin Aces for some time now and finally got the chance this weekend, wow is all I can say!!!! From the second we were greated till the second we walked out the door we were in for a treat. We quizzed a couple of customers as they were leaving and each once was passionate about bit the food and the customer service ( we would find out soon enough why), we settled on Ribs , smoked sausage, and I tried the Brisket Burger ? the ribs were some of the best in Baton Rouge with a great bark and tenderness to them, my Burger was a monumental experience piled high with delicious goodness. We left with promises to return very soon to our newest addition on our best of Baton Rouge restaurants!!
