I ordered a poboy and it had 6 shrimp all I could taste was bread and lettuce. I was really disappointed because it had been a long time since I had a po boyfriend home. My husband is Army and we have been away from the area for a very long time. I was disappointed by that experience. My fries were cold as well.

We arrived at 4:50 pm, but didn’t get waited on till almost 6:00pm. It is now 6:5 pm, and we still haven’t received our order. Everyone else is ready to leave, and we haven’t even eat yet. This is absolutely ridiculous! Wont be back anytime soon!

Came in on the re-opening night with the new owners. It was busy and thus the service was lacking on this night. Once we were helped, no issues so I look forward to going again soon. Food is good, just wish I had gotten the blackened instead of the fried, personal preference. Also wish the hush puppies had come early so i could have thrown the, to the kids to keep ‘em quiet.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly overall with a kid specific menu. Kids used to eat free on Wednesday, to sure if that’s still a thing. ??‍♂️

Disgusting. All the food was old and tasted gross. Even with it being busy they gave us old food. We only went back because of the salad bar, that was disappointing too. Barely any dressing choices. When I asked about other dressing flavors the employee was rude. I will not be going back here.

While I realize this restaurant is under new management, I have to say, what was an old favorite is now a one and done. With a busy restaurant, it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. It went down hill from there. Evidently our area had no wait staff because over an hour later it was our turn to place our order. We were told, right off the bat, there were no baked potatoes. No big deal even though I do not like fries. 40 minutes later, our order arrived, and I'll admit I ordered thin and crispy but the rest of the table ordered regular fried fish. It was all so dry and very unappetizing. It honestly looked and felt as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp much too long. It was dried up. To top it off, 4 tables, yes 4, that came in after us were seated, received their food in under 10 minutes, and all had baked potatoes. I can honestly say it was THE WORST $104 fish dinners we had all ever had. We will not be back.

We drove up from Lake Charles to eat some “Catfish” at the Catfish Hut because a friend had told me how good it was.I was very disappointed to find out the the Catfish Hut doesn’t actually serve Catfish. But instead, a substitute fish from Asia called Swai, a white-fleshed, neutral-flavored fish typically imported from Vietnamese fish farms. Once called Asian catfish, US laws no longer permits this name to be used. American catfish is from a different family than swai, but they are related. That’s why the menu says “Fish”, not Catfish. I knew what it was after one bite. But if you want some Fried Asian Catfish (Swai), this is your place.
